Bad Update

Today I felt like I should cancel the booking and just stop my journey to Fireblade.

Today I called up Canara Bank to confirm their plans for Monday and they gave me bad news.

Since they required some Guarantor for Loan, I gave my Dad's name.

Now they asked to go to Prabhadevi, their Head Office and sign few papers and get the loan amount.
But they want my Dad to be there too.

Now, he's leaving Monday morning to Jaipur for official purpose and will be back only by 29th. And hence here goes my Fireblade which I expected to be with me by 1st.

I'll try having word with Loan Manager, Prabhadevi and try convincing him to disburse loan directly to me.
And if not, then i think Aphrodite will be reaching not before 10th May.
And I'll having hardly any rides on my bike as in rains I will give her a good sleep for 4months.

I hate these Bank Formalities.

i know its really heartbraking when you see how banks handle ur case ( as obviously u can see from my posts also)

what il suggest u is that go with hdfc i was offered 8.3% + 0.5% process charge for 36months which most prob il pay up within next 6months with no extra intresnt or penalty just a fee of 5% of remaining pricipal one more good thing about them is that if they need ur dads signataure they can even send people to jaipur i know this because they had offered me that they will send a guy in del to take my signature it take 2-3 more buisness days and thts it... i bet they will not even ask for a gurantor as they didnt ask me....

believe me i know for a fact " whenever you want something really badly it will become more and more diffucult to get due to this you appreciate it more "

just go for hdfc u may end paying more... but does it really matter to you then the bike....

All that I understood through your posts is that if I were you I would be ripping the hell out of the Canara bank guys and not the HONDA guys.

It doesnt matter if they said the bike has reached the showroom to console you. Telling you that doesnt equal to they putting you under pressure to arrange for the funds or creating you mental agony like you are claiming.

Its not like Honda aint delivering you the bike after the payment. On the contrary it looks like they are awaiting to deliver the vehicle to you and you are awaiting the approval. Thats it.
Sorry bud, I feel bad for your wait..i can relate to it...i feel for you..but I aint in agreement with the HONDA bashing ! Canara Bank is the bane of your issue not HONDA.

Sorry for not updating you guys.

Wanted to write positive for my 100th post.

Before I write up my update and why I was quite I would like to clear sumthng.

@TenHut: Let me clear your statement. Honda as per my view is par in its Excellency. But the salesman Mr Santosh Nair from Aditya Honda who took my booking lied to me that my bike is lying in their warehouse. Now my 1st condition with Dealer was that bike will be unloaded in my presence and I'll be informed atleast 24hours prior of bike deliver. Since the bike value is so high they are well informed in advance that bike is coming. Now they didn't informed that and Salesman directly called and lied to me.

After the salesman call, I tried calling Manager of Aditya Honda but he was too busy with his new outlet opening. I had conversation with Honda Wing World but they just said that they'll investigate and will update me.

After waiting for a week, I had to call Honda Japan as Aditya Honda People stopped answering my calls.
After speaking with Honda Japan, suddenly everyone woke up and apologized for the non communicative behavior from their end.

On the contrary, Canara Bank, pushed all their limits just for their Genuine Customer. Their Bank Policy is " Loan on Two Wheelers not to exceed beyond 1.5lacs." but they tried everything to get my loan approved. They put me on the conference with the Manager of Loan Dept. Head office.
The local branch Manager was trying to convince the Loan Manager as of he needs the loan.

I must say that I'm well satisfied with Canara Bank as per relation management.

Since I was too busy with my work load, I couldnt come online and update
you guys.

Here is the Final Update regarding my Loan :

1st May 2010: Maharashtra Day.
Not an official leave, but since concreting was going on at site continously from morning 6.00 to midnight, we(partners) all are dead tired and hence I get spared to use my PC.

This is what happend in last week

1st the Canara Bank disapproved my loan as only 1.5lacs was permitted on 2wheelers. But Branch Manager managed to convince the Loan Dept.

Then again they started asking for some non-sense papers which I clearly denied to give as they had no link in my loan procedure. They went quiet for 4working days.

I called up HDFC to speed up the procedure and get my loan approved. They did it. They managed to approve my Loan in these 4working days.
HATS off to HDFC guys.. 5 star to their Loan Approval Time.

On Thursday Morning I called HDFC people to give me the final update. They said that I'll get call by Friday. I said OK.

On Thursday itself by afternoon, I got call from Canara Bank that they don't need those papers and I need to go to their Head office at 10.00am on Monday to sign an agreement. Whhooo... This put me in total confusing state that now what to do. Which bank to choose.

Evening I called up HDFC Loan Manager again to get the update but he said that I'll get confirmation by Friday only.

On Friday Morning I went to Canara Bank and collected my Sanctioned letter and other papers which I need to sign. As soon as I reach home, Mr Ankush Bhatia called and said that HDFC has approved the loan and they'll disbursed by Monday after getting my signatures.

Total confused!!!

Both the banks (Canara Bank & HDFC Bank) have sanctioned my loan.

Now I have to choose from which Bank i want loan. This Monday, Canara People have fixed an appointment with Loan Manager, Head Office where I need to sign the agreement and the Loan will be disbursed very same day to Aditya Honda.

On Monday, It will be finalized.

And I hope my Aphrodite reaches by 10th May if everything else goes smooth.

Due to my heave work load at construction site (morning 6.00 to midnight) and simultaneously handling these Bank Guys, I couldnt make up to update you guys. Sorry for being absent.

Next update by Monday. If I feel even a slight doubt that Canara will delay the disbursement, I'll call up HDFC people and sign the agreement on Monday itself.

Just can't wait anymore... My Aphrodite.. waiting..

PS: I never and still not have any problems with Honda, but their salesman who even the Aditya Honda Manager Mr Kamraj agreed that the approach for taking payment from Customer was wrong, I had to raise the issue.

Glad to know that your loan got approved.... are both banks giving same interest ? You can bargain.. tell HDFC that canara is giving you for less and tell canara that HDFC is giving for less... hehe ...

lolx.. well Canara Bank is saving me Rs.1,00,000/- in total. And HDFC people are not ready to bargain. Actually they're already giving me 7.8%. But canara rate of interest is around 5.5% as compare to HDFC's way of calculation. So Canara will be my 1st preference.

I booked the bike yesterday and my CBR1000RR got dispatched today from Haryana (despite today being the 1st of May)
