No offense but I dont think the Honda Guys seem to be a bunch of guys who take any of their customers for a ride ! If you pay today you get the bike in 7 days(registration not included and assuming they have the stock which they confirm to you before you pay). That was promised to me and I got it without making a single call to honda guys.
Now Manish also had a series of unlucky incidences delaying his payment to the HMSI guys. I think he was also being tossed around for weeks by the banks who according to me, were the real obstacles. It doesnt matter if they signed off the loan in the end. They took weeks to do that.
Manish why did you courier a demand draft ? Why did the demand draft take the rail route and not the arial route? Why not RTGS the money..RTGS reaches in 2 to 3 hours.
I must admit that I am at a certain loss to fathom such a delay which we cannot claim to be at Hondas end if they havent recieved the money. Have they recieved your payment now ? Has the DD reached them ?
Its best you start counting days once they recieve your payment. Counting days before they get the money makes the delay appear to be huge ass

@TenHut: Very true bro.. these banks always acts as road barriers.. believe me.. if i would have know that Canara bank was going to take a whole long month than it would have been HDFC ... by now i too would have done 1000kms...

Anyways.. finally at the end of the day, I feel satisfied that I got a good deal.. Perfect Bike and Perfect financing..

And about the RTGS thing.. bro.. its nationalized bank.. they dont even trust their own dad.. they didn't even permitted me to make the Demand draft of the down payment. They asked me to deposit the money in my account, and they'll make the single DD of the entire amount and will send to dealer through their personal courier man.

              Well.. end good.. all good..

@Alibaba and all xBhpian's: Bike has been despatched today afternoon.
I feel that the month I booked the bike had series of holidays and year ending excuses for banks and even for my personal accounting.

But today I got a Final Good news from Honda Wing World. The bike has been loaded is expected in 7days.

              Now let countdown begin..

Ahh finally I am happy for you Rohan, I've been following your updates and awaiting for your bike to get unloaded and also when they will hand over the keys to you, that experience is something which cannot be expressed in words.

Please ride safe and happy motoring, Keeping my fingers crossed.

EDIT - A piece of advise Manish, Take your parents or a friend or your relative with you, don't forget to take the Camera to the dealership, so that you can take photos and cherish your dream, one more important thing before going to the dealership buy a delicious sweet for the staff (it is known as the token of appreciation), thank everyone there and check all the papers, read them properly and then sign it. Don't sign the papers blindly. Check the registration papers, chassis number and manufacture date and year and check the bike throughly and properly.

Take your riding gear with you, lots of love and enjoy.

I have told Kabir da the same thing and many other bikers found it very useful, I hope this helps you.

                    Hello bro,
Thank you very much.. I will surely carry sweets and camera. but its decided that the bike wont be driven from dealer's warehouse to my home. I will load the box packed bike aS it comes from HMSI into another truck and will bring it to my garage, unload it there and open the bike.

The warehouse is almost 90kms from my place and I don't want to ride for such a long distance.
Person from Honda will come at my garage and get the PDI DONE. and then vroooooom... and yes there are going to be series of phots to.be uploaded on my aphrodite.
And yes, I will do check the papers at the time delivery properly and will take care that I dont sign off any document in over excitement. That's a great advice coz we , in over excitement do make mistakes..

I'm just worried about the unloading of bike from truck to my garage as there is no ramp in truck neither at my garage. I hope 4-5 people will be sufficient to unload it from truck.

                        • Oops my mistake, sorry Manish I wrote your name as Rohan, had remembered Hrithik Roshan's character from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Would be careful next time and I have edited the name Rohan and had written Manish. My apology to you once again. And don't take any tensions everything will be fine, you don't have to worry ok boss.

Doesn't the Honda dealer deliver the bike at home? If he can, that's the best bet for you, as they have specially designed trucks AFAIK(with ramp, etc.)
