Thanks Nitesh & Arun for clarifying the same

@ all guys, Update on the Bike

The bike has clocked close to 1200 kms now and feels much..much smoother..In simple terms sounds & feels like a four stroke until 40-45 & then the aggression starts specific to Rx. The gear shifts have been really cheesy & no problems till date. The only issue that's bothering me is that the Oil pump has started leaking oil slightly & can be found under the covers. It's not in the intake nor the out pipes, but somewhere from inside the pump itself Any help to sort this out will be really great. The first service is still on due & will be changing the gear box oil during that time. The current oil in the gearbox is Motul 5100, 15W 50. Should i go back with the same one or switching to semi synth or a fully synth can be an option? With regards to the Piston chamber oil, the bike is running on Motomix & I'm pretty impressed & happy with the cold start & heat results.

                  • Colour Dilemma

                    I hate you sir !!

The reason being that your thread confused me now..... I had planned for the black and chrome look but now seeing your fabulous bike i am totally confused with the wine red.

It looks such brilliant on the 5 speed esp, setting it apart from the rest of the Rx series.

I saw another bike in 5 gardens (matunga mumbai) a few days back and was stunned by the way he had restored it, the colour being same as yours.

Would you be kind enough to tell me what is the name of the shade (wine red/ maroon/ dark red... or something else... so that i can guide the painter with the exact colour)

                    Excellent restoration sir btw.

"Sir?" Those are very big words for me mate. Thank you for the appreciation given, feels warm after rescuing a 5s that was thrown in the dungeons after a lot of elbow grease work involved. The reason behind this colour was that I decided to keep the color that's in the RC book. The color that came with the 5's is known as "Wine Red". Had to do a lot of color matching work to get the exact color that came those days & finally succeeded.
