i got to ride an HT 2 weeks back. The guy had just redone his engine and told me not to go above 3.5. So cudnt enjoy much on it. I rode it as if I was ridin a bicycle. But i'll get a ride once he's done 1000 kms. Then I will give my comments.

I have driven an RD350 just once in my life...that was a few months back. It was a HT. The bike to really awesome, and the speed is too good. And Rajnish, it exactly happened like you mentioned....

The RD does not like drivers....as soon as you open the throttle, the RD tries it best to run away from you !!!

i drive the rd 350 LT quite often cuz my freind tanvir(xbhp memeber) owns one man just give the throttle and it'll snap ur neck your ur arms will strecht straight and you'll fin d your self slipping down the seat mann its awesome.

Best part about the RD is the way it screams through the powerband, that along with the strong tug of the handlebars, gives you a rush like no other..

i rode the 350 second time at the speed fest, i had a 600mtrs ping-pong ride without a helmet, it was crazy, i felt the need to push the bar down in order to keep the front wheel on the ground, my eyes were watering by the time i ponged.

hell if only they relaunch the godblessed RD as a supersports model in india we aint require nothing...

btw, someone called me from federal motors, delhi today, i had gone to them around 8months back to get some pics of the aquilia you see in the visuals section here, i left my number then with them, i immediately jumped and asked her b4 she could say her point "is the comet coming?!" , "no, it is not, but the new batch of aquilia is.."

heck i thought no comet, only more aquilias, heck...

yes tht's more like the bike needed here.also the best thing to get in 2st is the 65 bhp at the crank RD 350 F2.i rode the rz 350 which is almost same,one hell of a bike,easily maches the bikes upto 750cc.
also there was a drag meet at coimbatore,our own tuners here claim to make tuned RD engines which do the quarter mile under 11 secs,hence they r superbike beater bikes.

took the ride at jaga for the first time 4 yrs ago, still cant forget that jerk ,feelin was same as mentioned by u all.
but got a ride of rajnish's at speed fest for 5kms on highway and damn then i enjoyed real acc. of rd though acco. to rajnish the bike was not in green of its health.

yup,it isn't.the carbs r choked,plugs r the wrong type and timing needs sorting.

I agree a good 350 will rush out like a hound on leash, can go over 150 yeah, but this pump is short lived both for the reason 1) you cant sustain 150 perpetualy 2) and you cant sustain 150 on indian roads !! But speaking from a personal experience nothing to beat an HT. I have come back to 350 after a hiatus of nearly 13 years and one broken leg, and sattling for an LT but I remeber too well a good HT was nearly a beast and nothing less them a months content riding will intill enough confidence in you to put her to a test, before it happens is SHE whos gonna put you on test!! in 97 i was in japan, rode a 90 model, two stroke, shaft driven yamaha 1100 that belonged to a friend, on express highway there, I dont think I can tell much about it except that when I came back after a 60 Km drive, my shirt coller that accidently on one side was out of the leather jacket were in tatters and frayed at the end and my legs dint stop shaking for good 10 mins.

Hi guys !!
I am Back from My europe trip and I missed my Rd 350 so much while I was away .

Well its done 600 + kms now so i took it to the DND for aride.

And how it pulled after 5000 rpm in the 6th gear ....Wroooom wrooomm the killer... still hear the roar in my ears.

The restof all the high speed traffic went past me as i was smoking her on the dnd.

I took four round to and fro and parked her at home.

it is just awsome ...

will check her out tonight ...

MY RD 350 Japanese 84 , NUMBER HIE 2003 .

Engine

Standard HT barrels STOCK
Mahle Pistons and Rings 0.5
Redone crank to racing specs
VM 28 mikuni carb STOCK
All paint and chrome redone
Rear tyre New FKR great for off and on Road
All engine redone
working on auto lube
On points and Champion Spark Plugs F**K MICO SUPER SIDEWAYS
Has given no problems till now , and its due for 1 st Service.

Basically it was stripped down and redone in 28 days.

She pulls like a cheetah in the power band after 5000 RPM it scares the Car drivers on the DND every Night

IT SIMPLY ROCKS >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>SsSsccrattcchhhhhh.........
