Painting / Stickering theme will be of RX100 (Wine Red - inspired from SriramEfunds RX100)

Current status:
- Painting : completed
- Plating : yet to do
- Cosmetic parts : procured (monograms, lamps, etc)
- Electricals : procured (battery, harness, swtiches)
- Few other parts carry over from my RX135 (meter assy, seat, air filter, tool box, tyres etc)
- Engine : yet to start

Here comes confusion.
It is a known fact about RXG's jerking problem. I haven't experienced any major jerks in my friend's RXG (hardly driven for about 50kms) Request RXG owners to comment on this.
Should I restore the engine to stock RXG condition or convert to RX135?
Incase if I'm going by the second choice, what are all the parts the need modification?
as per my understanding (and from other threads like "Differences & Similarities between 135cc RX series", "Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series) below are the changes required
- Clutch bell assy : 71x22 to 74x19
- Sprocket : 15x37 to 16x34
- Addition of resonance box / powerbox

How about the carburetor and wiring harness? Is there a change required? Because I have already got a RXG wiring harness (yet to compare the same with RX135 harness)

Adding a snap of painted parts (the blue ones where already fitted in my RX135)

PS: guest room is now RX spare/ware house
Apart from the primary reduction ratio, sprockets and magnet rotor, all other drive parts are same between rxg and 135.

With much delay the restoration is resumed.
Painted parts were ready almost a couple of months back and got the plated items last night.

Few parts need to be purchased. Will post the snaps tonight.

Sathish, nice to see another sorry back to back restoration. Yamaha RXG is always unique among the RX with it's unique spec. I'm sure you have enough experience and know how process. Let's bring it on!

Thanks Sriram.
RXG uniqueness is sometimes a pain in getting the genuine spares.
After 2 months of hunt finally got the RXG chain sprockets 15x37 last week (earlier I purchased RX135 5S Sprockets 15x38)

Of course, whenever required I will keep you guys troubling

Thanks Bibhu. Snaps doesn't justify the actual finish, it is more shiny in actuals. Will post a better snap soon.

Coming to the list of non-OE parts
- Handle bar : Pulsar (I feel very much comfortable with pulsar handle bar. 1 inch chopped on either side)
- Head lamp reflector : Swaraj mazda (for better beam throw / spread)
- Horn : Minda, twin horn (same as my RX135)
- Rim + spokes : Hero Honda
- Rear number plate : Don't remember from which bike, but little shorter than the RX spec (size almost same as Suzuki Max 100R)
- 2T oil level indicator : Custom made (In plan, not fitted yet)

Out of RXG spec
- RX100 paint and sticker theme (to have the classic looks)
- Resonator box, carburetor manifold, hose, spring, clamps (from RX135)

Future plans (Upgrade / modification) : No (will keep this bike in stock looks / specs ALAP)

Bike started last morning
I couldn't see that in person as I'm bit busy with office works.
Even today I hope I can't make it happen, but too much curious.

Words from mech
- Bike was left ON (a little more than idle rpm) for about 6 hours yesterday
- Taken for a short spin today
Observations
- Huuuuge pick-up (that's an RXG)
- No jerks

Jumping in joy after hearing the above the statement.
Will post the images ASAP.

I am just thinking as to why one has to keep the bike on idle RPM for 6 long hours ? If this is to reduce the "on road" running-in period then this is wrong. My guess- the cylinder wall must have been glazed by now and I'm afraid the rings must be eaten up and shall not sit in properly unless you go for a hone job.
Stop at RED and go at GREEN !!!

On a fresh rebore, it is a common practice to keep the bike running on idle for sometime, like 30-45 mins, then shut it off, and again start the cycle after 15 minutes. But 6 hrs straight seems a bit too much. If it was kept so without any fan running near it to cool the block down, it might cook the rings.
