Re: Suzuki Supra Powerup reborn- History revisited!
Way to go! I happened to see a Suzuki Supra restoration on youtube. I have a Suzuki Samurai 1999 and most likely to go for a engine rebuild. I am glued to this thread.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostHey there friends and enthusiasts. Today i present to you the story of my latest rebuild -the Suzuki SUPRA Powerup .
As a teenager the most fascinating performance bike to me was the Supra. and more when the Powerup version came up. I was just infatuated by its beauty.. till i became eligible to ride and the Shogun came
but my love for the Supra always remained and time and again i used to play with the idea of having a factory fresh Supra Powerup in my stable. So the project was added to my list of to-dos some years ago and two years ago the hunt for a used bike began only only to be disappointed everytime. Then about a year ago i thought of making my own Supra by converting an AX100 series bike. and finally i came across a clean Suzuki Samurai two months ago. meanwhile over the years i had collected almost all new parts for the Supra.
The rebuild began one month ago and the parts collection added to the swift rebuild. Sharing some pictures. I hope you guys like them.
For starters here is a pic of a Supra advert from more than two decades ago. (for those who dont know what a Supra is)
Special thanks and credits to Ashok George, Shankar, Satishg, Bibhu Kar, Sriram, and all friends who kept the faith.

Mr.Yamdoot,I am very sorry to ask this dumb question.Did the Supra have RPM Meter with it ? I asked this as I am seeing 2 Round meters in your Last posted Picture of this Beauty. And also What's that hanging on the Handlebar with a small Tube running to the Carburetor ? Did the Supra have a 140cc,110cc or 100cc Engine ? Please pardon me for asking this Dumb questions Sir.I am a Newbie here and I just want to learn more.Thank you[My Motorcycle]

That clean exhaust port is because it is a brand new bore piston kit.Originally posted by kusmaker View PostFirst snap look terrific with that clean exhaust outlet, i believe you must have got good mechanics as finding a good mechanic is a very big job in itself. Keep it on. Cheerz.

Dear Tvsian. That is a new Shogun meter cluster.ive mentioned this in the list of goodies thats going in the bike. The thing hanging is a petrol reservior used to start engines . Supra is 100cc 11 bhp. But this one would have a lot more punch to it.Originally posted by TVSian View PostMr.Yamdoot,I am very sorry to ask this dumb question.Did the Supra have RPM Meter with it ? Supra came with 11bhp engine i didn't knew this part, and what have you done to get more puch out of the engine, what is the amount of torque generated by the engine.

Thanks bro for the input, i think supra and samuai had same engine just the cosmetics was different, they might have bumped the power up to compete with Rx-100.
