Attaching pictures of the Crank,, well it is almost next to not possible to find a crank on STD pin with Yamaha connecting rods in India, i have managed to import one from US ,, however the crank appears to be same may be can comment better if we can compare both the cranks in STD pin with factory connecting rods ..

one thing very obvious and noticeable is that the crank from US looks very less abused unlike the one in India, reasons could be like multiple times the Indian crank might have been rebuilt and also i suppose the 2t oil quality and care taken which is like engine oil for 2stroke might show a difference in the wear and tear

            Hi naveen,

Many many congrats on getting the most legendary 2-stroke machine in the history of motorcycling in the entire world. There is no bigger legend in 2-stroke world than a Yamaha RD 350. Your love and passion is commendable for this iconic beauty.

That difference between Indian parts and U.S parts will always be there. You are a true RD lover, shipping parts from U.S especially for RD is never easy.

You can ride any superbike in the world, but the feeling of riding a Yamaha RD-350 in her powerband is something else. You can't describe that feeling in words. You have to ride it personally to actually experience that feeling. Its a journey in itself, with full of excitement, joy, danger, drama, powerwheelies, crazy madness, that dangerous but curious feeling to tame those 41 horses (U.S spec). And the most awe-inspiring twin cylinder sound you will ever listen in any bike.

I am already feeling goose bumps. Keep us posted with the latest pics and information.

            Cheers...

Slightly shocked looking at the colour of the side shield... Only realised after few seconds that it's not rustic brown & the cheater was the background lighting & the plastic cover on it 😜

                      Yeh looks amazing as is......

like wrote on the post,, crank is similar how ever we don't get to see any crank which is on Standard pin.. battery box is similar in terms of looks however the rectifier slot is different

In US spec transmission do you think the drive axle milling is different which is why the Indian small sprocket is not suitable FOR USE WITH IT ?

correct,, and when it comes to us spec rd ,,parts are shared among 250/350 and also we know the three generations of us spec rds.

Indian RD tank ,, which is larger compared to the US spec
