Re: Two stroke oil
i prefer to use Motul mineral 2t, simple reason it said to be one of the finest mineral 2t, not very expensive, works like champ . have tried most of the 2t oils on with my rxz and 135 , however from the day one i have done with my Rd350 build it is running on Motul. fully synthetic oil is good no doubt about it provided you take some precautions.
fully synthetic oil settles down in the tank base when not in use, is some one is pre mixing ,, for those who run the pump it is a good choice though ..
i cant really dare to run the 2t pump on an rd350.. pre mix and ride peacefully
Shoot with a Nikon..Drive a Chevy..Ride a Yamaha

Re: Two stroke oil
I have read somewhere (maybe in this forum itself ) that pump is not able to pump the fully synthetic oils so premix is the only option left in case of fully synthetic 2T oils(haven't tried it though)Originally posted by Naveen Reddy View Postfully synthetic oil is good no doubt about it provided you take some precautions.

Re: Two stroke oil
honestly guys if i had to make a choose,,being some one who has spent a fortune building my rd i wont really recommend fully synthetic .. those machines are build when fully syn oils are not really on demand or use,, in fact i am pretty sure the oil engineering has gone way advanced and even the mineral oils sold now compared to those good old days are much refined.. do we actually rev our bikes to the extremes or to the red line the answer might be No,, so i dont see any need for fully syn ,, may it burns better well i have to give a shot and try on my rd for over a period we might not know the difference just over one ride.Shoot with a Nikon..Drive a Chevy..Ride a Yamaha

Re: Two stroke oil
at least for the first 2k kilometers synthetic is not recommended. Afterwards you can use it. You can use the normal 2T via oil pump and 10-15ml synthetic premix in petrol. The supply should be metered and set so that motor gets the right amount of 2T combined supply. I do this in my 2 strokes. Will try that on RD as well once the pump is overhauled and connected
It is difficult to get synthetic 2T in future unless someone import it

Re: Two stroke oil
Hi. My ride is a '72 Jawa 250, who is currently undergoing restorative surgery. Prior to restoration, I used whatever 2T oil was available in the petrol pumps in 1:20 ratio. However I would like to know which engine oil is currently used by jawa / yezdi bikers in mumbai and where do you source it from? Await your replies. Thank you.

Re: Two stroke oil
SAE 50 Grade oil is the recommended oil by the company. 50ml per 1 liter of petrol. However SAE 50 grade oil is not easily available. The next best workaround is SAE 40 grade oil or any 20W50 oil. I'm personally using MAK gold 40 oil for my Yezdi B for last 2 years. Please avoid using 2T.Originally posted by rk1685 View PostHi.
