The front is the pulsar 150/180's, I chose it for its longer springs and surprisingly soft action which suits a dirt bike, also it is thicker (by 2mm) and therefore stronger, the top T-clamp was a direct fit but the bottom one was tricky, the yamaha's Botom T-clamp has a wider base (31mm to the pulsar's 28mm) so I had to weld around the T-stem and then grind it to make it a perfect fit. But then I was'nt sure about the top as the threading ran out after a few turns so I welded the top of the T-stem too and ground it again so to make way for more threading. It feels rock solid now but I will only truly know that while braking once the disc is fitted.Originally posted by insane_x97 View Postgood planing, going even great, all the best bro,

Hi Nitro nice bike you got there. Where are u getting the mods done. I am from hyderabad as well. I saw that you asked about the benefits of RDD CDI on other thread. I have one lying around you can always come around and test it after you bike is ready and see if you find any advantages and decide for yourself.
Why go by someone elses judgement when you can judge it yourself.RD 400

Hey, thanks buddy, I am using the help of a mech from narayanguda for all the stripping and assembling work and a welder in ramkot, I will be getting the fenders and seat plate from a fabricator in nampally and finally the engine will be done by my tuner in chennai. So only after that I can test the RDD cdi as my bike will have a ported and piped setup. So please hold on to it until then. Thanks anyways....cheersOriginally posted by jagadeesh.b View PostHi Nitro nice bike you got there. Where are u getting the mods done. I am from hyderabad as well. I have never seen better offroad tyres than IRC, i think you made wrong choice on the tyres."Engine tuning is not an exact science, but with some practice and patience you'll get comfortable with your skill and be able tune for any conditions mother nature throws at you"

I agree with u but IRC does not have a 19" tyre in the market (I could b wrong)...I liked the pattern on them. My main concern was to match the front and rear pattern, so I was eyeing for the ceat securas front 3.25 19" and 3.50 18" but after a week of frantic searching I gave up as nobody had it in stock. so my only other option was a dunlop..Originally posted by psycho 98 View PostI have never seen better offroad tyres than IRC, i think you made wrong choice on the tyres.
..most of them had those big knobby rear tyres but not a single moron bothered about getting a front tyre of the same pattern. One of them suggested I use a 3.50 18 tyre at the bak and a "4.00" 19 at the front, felt like smacking his face with the same tyre...
so if anyone has got a 3.25 19" ceat secura then pls let me kno where u got it or if u are willing to exchange them with the one I have I'd be extremely grateful .. Thanks.
Nope, not plannin to race it, just some occassional off-roading, although there's no shortage of bad roads here so every commute will be more or less an adventureOriginally posted by joshuasam400Just out of Curiosity: you planning to race this bike or just modding it up????
. I need to first test the suspension if its has any go, if its all show then I'll have to stick to regular potholed roads..If its good then YIPPIE
I wont bother riding on normal roads anymore..

few more updates guys, got the monos fitted and the roadking tank done..
below is a picture of the bike as it is now and under that is my own awkward interpretation of what it might look like, it is still missing a single-pod speedo meter and under-seat exhaust.
need your honest views guys and pls don bother about the paint as its not decided yet.
P.S.- the rear only looks lifted as its standing on a wooden plank, it will drop an inch or so once off the stand.Last edited by nitro.1000bhp; 06-24-2009, 11:04 PM.lookin for another corny line ??
