  • Thanxs for the prompt reply big bore .

A few suggestions You need to change the mounting of ur chamber to get back ur rear foot pegs and you also need to change the end can design / stinger . this should make it sound better and make your torque curve smoother. since these chambers are mass produced and imported in bulk i suggest u try modding the dimensions of this pipe to suit your engine specs and tune . Also this pipe gives you great low end torque but the powerband comes in quite late making it more of a top end pipe . Also let it be a clear coat finish , i think it looks great .

OT: It would be great if we could have a thread on 2 stroke expansion chambers with discussions relating to shape , working torque/rpm range , mounting , headers , end cans and glass wool . would be of great help to all of us

UNIs are a good choice though K&Ns arnt half as bad as some strokers make them out to be . Also since ur porting is stockish and your pipe isnt really radical you can still optimize performance with a 4 speed carb. TMs and PWKs are bling at this stage and honestly i feel will only give will give you better throttle response when setup well at this stage.

Try out the different curves on your RDD CDI and see which works best for you. There will be a curve 1 wire and curve 2 wire and a static wire mode - u activate them by shorting their respective wires. I suppose on dynamic mode curve 2 should work better than curve 1 . Also short the static wire and see how the bike responds . Post up and let us know the results.

With regards to timing there are/ used to be some articles on chinoys site that tell you how to time your bike. You will need a screw driver , a plug spanner , a 360 degree wheel , a timing light and a magnet puller . I forgot this method but you will find it online. Take a print out and post the link here if you find it Also pick up a compression gauge if you dont have already and tell us what compression you are running . Does your stator plate have holes/ windows already machined into them ? If so that save you one head ache.

What speeds are you hitting at 8.5k through the gears ?

Really like your bike and the amount of funds and interest your putting into her. Great bike man , enjoy !

PS: 5k for JERO BHP is crazy !! but it sure looks bling ! any idea what the cases go for in the scrap yard as i am looking for the same

@ Psyco : How are you ? Dont have your number plz msg. Hows your bike ? Btw are you still running on static mode ? Any updates on the same ?

Did u started using Motul 5100?
On USA 2strokers forum some riders shared their experience with it. They were facing clutch slippage after they started using Motul GB oil for their RD's. According to them; Friction plates soak the previous mineral oil(If used) and it didn't go well with Motul syn. oil. Maybe you could strip the clutch and get the plates dried with some tissue paper to solve it

Don't know if it is really an issue or not.
Let us know your experience with it.
Bikes don't leak oil, They mark their territory.

We have RXK fiber plates in all our bikes. I think only cork ones soak oil like you mentioned. As of now none of the bike have had such a problem.

            Thanks.
Thanks Karthik. I will surely will check out the speed at 8,500 RPM of each gear and let know.
I am changing from K&N to UNI as i have heard its the best airfilter and works best with the TM which i have and intend to put in a few days. Actually waiting for the monsoon to end.
With regards to the RDD CDI as compared to stock CDI, i had seen a vast difference in ride quality and performance on my friends RX135 which had the 90/100 kit and i was very much impressed after riding it. Thats one of the main reasons i got one for myself. The lighting too helps me as i have a lot of night riding too.

With regards to timings adjustment, there is no precise position that would be predetermined when it comes to setting it up and it differs from bike to bike. There is always a small tweak + or - done on the timing to get the right spot. In other words, you will need to keep trying with different positions until you find the right sweet spot that your bike happily responds.
Yeah Sriram, but i never got any answer/guidance from Psycho with regards to the timing. Any help would surely be appreciated

I am using Motul 5100 on a regular basis on all my bikes from a long time and have not faced any such issues. Its a semi synthetic oil. Normally clutch slippage occurs when you use fully synthetic oil in the g/b. Many people who use it swear by it.
Try using RXK clutch plates as you will never face such problems.

The disc brakes with the ABS looks good. What make are these?

                          Hi Bigbore,

Is that disk setup with ABS during 2009 (looks like early model pulsar clasic front)

can you explain be how your ABS disk brake works? since i can't see any wheel speed sensor installed.

                          no offence

This ABS system what Arun has installed is a Mechanical ABS block that reduces Hydraulic fluid pressure of the brake oil thus preventing the wheel locks. They are stand-alone mechanical units that doesn't require any electrical components to function and can be installed to any bike that has disc brakes. For more details..Saferide ABS

It performs really well especially on the pulsar disc setup as braking is a bit poor compared to Gladiator disk setup. And yes the stopping distance is lesser without any wheel locks on high speed braking.

Currently i have removed the ABS from all my bikes as i have replaced the pulsar with gladiator front ends and they dont need ABS!
