          @All.
Thank you for your kind words. I tried to post a reply last evening thrice. Everytime my broadband connection would give up on me just when I hit 'submit reply' button

Regarding prices, please don't get me wrong, I am reluctant to discuss it. It will lead to unnecessary arguments I feel.

When I started the job, I had no budget. Whatever it takes was the thinking.

          Following are the jobs done:-
          • Painting, Tank cover
          • Painting, Side covers/shield
          • Painting, Chasis (pics on ownership thread)
          • Chroming of all steel parts
          • Zinc plating of all nuts & bolts
          • Teflon coating
          • Silver paint for head, wheel hubs, casings & forks.
          Following were the parts replaced:-
          • Witing kit
          • Switch gear
          • Tail lamp assembly
          • All indicators
          • Rear mudguard (including the fibre part)
          • Pilot lamps
          • Spoke set
          • Full body rubber kit
          • Numerous pins & bolts
          • Brake shoes
          • Clutch & brake cables
          • Cone cup kit
          • Kicker assembly
All parts are Genuine Yamaha spares. No compromise on that.

No engine work was done, because it wasn't needed. This bike has been in regular use and maintenance since 23 years. Replaced the bore around 7-8 years back at 83,500kms. It has done 40,000kms on the current bore (G-4).

Piston is the original one that came along with the bike. All transmission parts like clutch plates & friction plates are original and haven't been changed in 23 years.

Sorry, for the delay. My broadband connection has been acting up for the past three days. Thanks to road widening work

So you are telling me your bike is running the old engine covers that have simply been repainted??

Thats right. The engine casing/cover is old one, just repainted. As I said, except the spares listed everything else is old.

EDIT: Came back from a 15km ride. Feels tad rough because of decarbonizing. Handle bar position needs to be adjusted. In the stock setting one has to reach for it. Gives me back pain. Will get it tilted inside when I am free.

                Few more pics

All spokes are new. Yes, got the rim aligned. No wobbles running fine. Only problem I face is the handle bar position. Needs to be tilted in a little. Otherwise running fine as it always did

superb job mate. just wanted to know, is the paint color couple of shades brighter than the ones that where sold?

personally, just wondering if it would make sense to add the left rear view mirror.

                      brilliant job though. congrats.

Correct. Good observation It is indeed couple of shades darker. Must admit, I haven't been very diligent in getting this job done. Didn't trouble myself searching for the colour codes/etc.

Not very keen on the left RVM.

                        Thanks for the kind words

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.
