Thanks.Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostAmazing work brother!! Hats off!!
Hmm... never had any access to GPS/Veypour/etc. It can do speedo indicated 100 without committing much harakiri. After that I always run out of roadOriginally posted by karthik_R View PostNice work there mate....
Btw, how does the bike perform?
80-40-80 cycle is far better than 0-60 acceleration. And like any RX100, can ride at 20kmph (speedo indicated) in fourth gear without knocking.
But the best thing is to cruise at 70kmph whenever traffic condition permits. Beyond that cross-winds becomes a problem. Doesn't feel particularly stable.
My sense is that it would do 110 (speedo indicated) with me (55kgs rider) on board. Never tested after 100 though.
Without intending to sound dramatic, I would say this is God of flickability. Offers supreme confidence to squeeze through gaps. This is the best attribute of the bike, if you ask me. I have ridden many other bikes (not extensively) and most of them don't give that kind of confidence barring maybe RTR.
Braking is adequate, but if you are used a bike like RTR 180 then you better stay away from this one
Obviously, no comparison. For what the bike is capable of brakes are satisfactory. For speeds below 40kmph I use front brake only (gently ofcourse) and I face no problem. Over that speed never had to brake in panic (thank God for that) so I dont really know.
Ride quality/suspension is the worst attribute of this bike. If bikes like this were in production today, Orthopedics (pardon the spelling) would get good business
Way too stiff. Doesn't like even minor undulations on road
All in all involving bike to pep up the boring office commute I would say.

Seeing your post after a long time
There is some noise emnating from the bore at idle. Nothing serious my mech says, however, will get it checked next wednesday.
I will upload the video to my signature shortly.
Don't tell me you don't know how much it costed me
About break up and details, I already made a mention of it in the thread.

ThanksOriginally posted by moeed View PostBeautiful job mate! The bike looks as good as new.
I did a good 60kms ride y'day. It feels lot smoother now. Handling is fantastic
When you accelerate in third gear upto say 50kmph and let go of the throttle, the sound it makes is something else altogether
I wish I could source a spare muffler for it. The ones available now are no good w.r.t to the sound.

I was talking about the inside component, dont' know the technical nameOriginally posted by jd666 View Post^^ a RX100 muffler??? around 1500 bucks here. Original. i got one for my RXZ!
It is a perforated metal thing. Costs Rs.107.It is unavailable now
The ones available now don't produce the characteristic RX100 sound. I guess I wil have to look for it in gujri. Planning for the future
You are talking about the entire assembly I believe, for which I was quoted Rs.1300 here.A lone amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic...
