Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
Expanded? By increasing the bore diameter? Possible to some extent, compromising the usable life of bore. There is no point in doing it on a brand new standard block.Originally posted by TejaRX View PostActually I wanted to check if RX100 bore can be expanded to perform like RX135. Can I extract 12 BHP from the expanded RX 100 Bore for my 4 speed RX 135, was my question.
OTOH if 12 BHP (or anything close to it) is your requirement, you may consider porting.
But I suggest not to ruin the standard block. Better trade her for a 135 block.

Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
Thanks Sir for your detailed answer to my query.Originally posted by Mr.Boss View PostIf the intention is ONLY to USE the current RX100 bore in RX135, YES it is possible. But the performance (of either engine) can't be matched.
All you need is RX100 connecting rod & Head (To fix and use the RX100 bore in 135) along with change in carb jets.
For a proper RX100 conversion, you need to swap the below parts
Crank shaft (+ Connecting Rod)
Engine Head
Clutch Assembly
Carb (or the matching jets)
Sprockets

I'd say, simply exchange the new 100 bore for a new 135 bore

if RX 100 I Series bore (4 speed) can be altered to work like RX 135 (4 speed)
If so what alterations are in need and what might be the cost for the same.

Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
Hello Folks
,
I have RX 100 Bore I Series (latest) which as of now I am not planning to sell. Since I own RX 135, I am in need of 1 RX 135 Bore.
So planning if RX 100 bore can be fit to RX 135 with few alterations in the bore.
Can 2 Stroke and RX Experts throw some light if RX 100 I Series bore (4 speed) can be altered to work like RX 135 (4 speed)
.
If so what alterations are in need and what might be the cost for the same.
Can someone also share if there are any expert mechanics who are able to do the above at reasonable price (only, if the above is possible
).
Thanks in Advance.

Nitin,Originally posted by NitinGirish View PostI had one with me but quality turned out to be pathetic :-( Would crack in matter of minutes.
My mechanic was saying something about hose coming with a metal clip at the edge. Not the usual circlip but something else. Do you know if something like that is available? Also any particular automobile shop you would suggest apart from MCC.
Call me i can help you getting one.. OE 2T oil hose comes along with small hose clip(in the form of cylindrical metal tube) to hold the tube intact in carburetor as well at oil pump .

Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
These things are very generic, and are easily available in most shops as it's common for most 2stroke bikes, check out the last shop on AM road, from JC road signal. they have good quality ones, comes as a set of big hose, small hose and clutch cover rubber and the clips are there.

Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
Buy a new one or a set of two from any Automobiles spares shop, the quality is reasonably good.

Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
Sorry for the repost was trying to edit but the previous post was deleted. So I'm trying to sell a genuine 135 4 speed head with 4TL00 E-1 punched on it and complete 4 speed gear box internal gear set with shift drum and forks
