please clarify as to why you have mentioned "mechanical" for RXZ and "electronic" for Shogun. I am asking bcauz I have a 2002 Suzuki MAX100R and thought fitting a caliber speedometer assembly to my bike would provide a tachometer. since the stock term MAX100R has only the speedo. I local mechanic told me that we can get the engine RPM reading through the engine current in Suzuki bikes( Samurai, Shogun, Shaolin ). In Yamaha bikes we need to fit a Worm gear to get the RPM reading. Is that so?. If yes, why is the approach different with Suzuki and Yamaha bikes?. Which of these two approaches is better overall?.

Rx100 cylinder kit were available in genuine spare shop when last time I went at new mrp 9430/-. And 135 ones was not available.

Hello everyone, i live in chennai, i'm looking forward to buy the piston-cylinder kits for both RX100 ( 36L00 ) and RX135 4-Speed ( 4TL00 ). Are these currently available?. I checked with a spare parts dealer he showed me the kit for RX135 with no part number being mentioned on the cylinder. I haven't yet checked with a yamaha dealer though. Any references to a yamaha dealer who will sell these kits would be very helpful.

- Saree Guard

- Silencer (not the cat-con type)

RDD 90/100 kits are only available for RDD engine builds which goes beyond 70K, the black box will run with any unit, even the stock Stator and Magnet, its just a stock CDI replacement unit. if you want to run the digital unit then the story is little different, I can connect you with a person who makes base plates (90/100) with reinforced magnet, he is the authorised partner for RDD kits installation in Kerala. Let me know if you really want a 90/100 kit, to me with a black box its a total waste of money.

Any idea where I can get the complete rubber kit and black side panels (for oil tank) for RX100?

You Can buy individual items from any spares shop or Yamaha ASS, if you want the whole kit, GEE BEE in Bangalore has it, he procures from Saya Automobiles in Karol Bagh Delhi, you can contact them, the side panels are also available at all the above mentioned source.

You can rebore the engine several times, why waste money on new/used cylinders, place an order with the nearest Yamaha dealer and they will source you a new cylinder.

Yezdi rims or go for enticer rims, they are available in plenty, but the challenge would be tyres, I would advise you to stay clear of 16" rims as they eat through the sprockets and bearings like a hungry dog, they can always be set at an angle and they don't sit straight, thus putting more stress on the bearings, drive chain and sprockets

Old gen pulsar(classic) and gladiator forks have same inner dia as the RX, hence the t stem and top crown plate from the RX can be used without any mods.

1) do you mean new 4tl10 KIT is available in market ??? Coz i checked in pune every one is selling 2 hand .... and the problem with second hand is they are selling sleeved kit . in fact i have one standard OG (4tl10) Kit which is running on my bike . but i have already done more then 75000 KM's on it . so am not getting that performance punch . & i bought one Second hand KIT but was fooled as the kit was Sleeved ....

Also suggest me Trust worthy Re boring garage in pune , if i dont get new KIT i will prefer to go for Re Boring the original Kit .

I am from Pune & I am planing to restore my RX135 5 speed . cay any one help me out with finding the below spares.

1) New Cylinder Kit preferably (4TL10) but if not 4TL10 then suggest an alternative
2) Yezdi Rims & Tyres (size 17)
3) Advise the most suitable front Disc break Assembly
4) Speedometer with RPM
