Few Shogun and Shaolin spares available

Hey fellows i have one good news for the people who is in suzuki shogun and shaolin manifold. My shaolin(quick beast) manifold got broke when i gave it to the mechanic. it was very very hard for me to find the manifold. for about 4 months i could not till then my baby was in the garage sleeping. finally i located one spare parts shop in chennai where i was able to find the new original TVS manifold. there were only 2 pieces. but the cost of one manifold only was too pricy But without any hesitation i took them...... If any one is really finding manifold for there bike i would like to share the one i have with me

Hi Swing arm they are available in Hyderabad. I got one from nitesh long back and recently one in hyderabad when i went to pick up some spares. I think it was around 90-100/- each will check if you are serious about taking them.

Yup! no one should! Atleast we can trust our own bikes and love them forever. And cheer up Sat! there are a lot more bikes and girls to ride so keep your eyes open! Life is too short to miss the rides.

but yesterday i read somewhere in shaolins thread.. that these pistons are nowhere near ART..

so if any one here have 1st over size ART piston readily available..and can help me.. i will cancel the order for those sam pistons from that tvs guy..

    awaiting for positive response

Welcome to the Forum. You say the dealer himself has got a Shogun and it surprises me hes never heard of ART! Maybe hes pretending.
Art pistons are verry hard to come by and the ones i had are already given to people . Lets hope i'll be able to source more soon. If you are in mumbai, lets meet up and we can have a discussion on your rebuild.
P.S- theres no need to sp. order SAM piston from TVS. They can be had quite easily.

My respect to all xbhpians ..

I've never ever read a book or any forums in my school/collage life with so much of interest that i am doing it

    My major inspirations:
BigBore's "My Suzuki Shogun 1994 Rebuild"
    atul_astro's "Insaneroller's Suzuki Shogun Rebuild"
    and swingarm's shogun

my friend who moved to mumbai for job has left me his 1995 shogun.. she needed reregistration in RTO as she already have completed 15 year's. So i decided to restore the gun..

I'm in process of collecting spares for shogun.. there is no engine work to be done so i'me doing all the things by myself. including paint.. i have a cousin who use to be a TVS mechanic to help me out in any emergency.. and yes most importantly TOOLS..

i have already stripped the bike.. as i only work in weekend + the bike is at my native place which is around 60 klms from where i currently leave.. the progress is verrrrrrrry slow.. to add on that i have monthly limited budget to spent on this..

while searching for spares i roamed all major cities and also some rural areas of goa .. there were only two places from where i got positive response.. the first one was in south goa margao..the reason was that dealer himself have shogun..but again most of the parts in his store are non OE

    i found:
    minda wiring harness
non OE sticker set for back up (i have original too)
    blinkers set (swiss)
    oe tvs packed con-rod bearing
    non oe panels
    front shocks oil seal
    and many nuts and bolts

and the other was TVS dealer

    I found:
    fiem tail lamp
    front brake cable
    footrest rubbers
    and again many small things

and the things for which i placed order with him are

    1st oversize piston
    fiem head lamp
    speedo cable

and now my problem is here..

1st oversize piston.. i insisted a lot for ART pistons but he behaved like tvs never came with ART, he dint even know what ART piston is.. He only knows are SAM and GOETZE .. and he will get me either one of these..

Good to hear about another rebuild of a SHOGUN! My best of wishes for all the efforts you'r putting in!
SAM and GOETZE pistons come nowhere close to ART piston. The rings that come with ART are SGP Japan. I can surely find out and let you know the availability of the 1st OS ART Piston and SGP Rings. I got for myself 1st OS & 2nd OS ART piston & SGP rings last month. Will keep you posted!

    Cheers!
