    • OT.... @ All Lest we forget.. this is really very imp

Drag Bike: a person who rides in the last position in a group. The Drag Bike must secure a lane for the rest of the group during lane changes into faster traffic (move first to block oncoming traffic) and close the door (move to block passing traffic) when a lane is lost in a merging lane situation. Usually this is the most experienced rider in a group, for the Drag Bike is the rider who stops to assist a rider who has mechanical trouble, loses control, or drops out of a ride for some other reason. The Drag Bike should be prepared to render aid to a downed or disabled rider in a group. If at all possible, the Drag Bike should have a co-rider who can assist with traffic control if a serious problem arises. If there are three groups on a ride, there will be three Drag Bikes. The rider in this position is sometimes called the tail gunner.

      Source - Riding Etiquette

Make sure no first timer/rookie/novice is at tail during the G2G..

@ Bangy XBhpian.... I strongly suggest that that the person who are joining here as their first G2G should be in the middle and not at the tail. I know you guys are strict about it

Since the Bagalore guys were at some point complaining that they get to ride a little lesser, I was thinking if both the teams should meet up at Chittoor and proceed via NH-18, NH-205. This will approximately end up with the same distance for both Chennai and Bangalore. Any thoughts?
That's fine with me unless u guys promise not to run off at a million kmph while we struggle a long way behind at 70kmph. Small bike are in large numbers including an HH Passion. I would expect other riders to respect the slower riders too this time around.

                  Take care, bro!

By any chance did you take the Tindivanam route? There are huge potholes as soon the the toll road on NH 47 ends before Tindivanam.

As for the rain, it should not be a problem since it is the coastal areas that are affected. Also, we have 5 days to go.

                  • What about breakfast? U can be sure that after riding for so long, all would be pretty hungry for something to eat. What about breakfast at Chittoor before riding up to HH? I believe there is an IOC Nandini at Chittoor Bypass which can also add up to a nice meeting place.

Are there places for breakfast at HH that serve 40 hungry bikers?

                    • ^^ There's a reliance A1 plaza after Chittoor, would involve more riding for the Bangy guys though.

I don't remember the exact kms its after Chittoor, an approx. guess would be max 15Kms, so that would be a 30Kms overhead for bangy guys!!!

                        • @Praveen and Kiran : Good job guys. We all owe u a lot more than the money in the form of millins of thanks!

OT : Went on a trip till Nagappattinam last weekend on my SCORPIO with me behind the wheel. Faced some torrental rainfall. For once I was really glad of my cars ground clearance and headlights. With two 100/90 bulbs in hi-beam and two fog lamps, I was literally riding blind for a good two hours from Cuddalore to Chidambaram in torrential rains. Am now sick of driving or riding in the rains, Hopefully there is no rain during our trip.
