By reconsidering, u dont mean cancelling, do u? Coz there has been a lot of planning and looking forward to for this trip, not withstanding, a lot of money too. We cannot allow rain to spoil the fun. We could all not go, but I dont see much fun in that.

But I see ur point in cutting short the ride in case it rains too heavily. Instead of meeting up at Palmaner, we could just ride straight-up and meet at HH directly. I suppose we can have this as an alternative plan in mind that we can use as per the weather.

Tourism is a customer friendly industry. AFAIK, it holds good for private agencies. As for govt agencies, I don't think they will understand! If only Horsely Hills had private resorts, it would be a different game by now.

FYI, the A.P. tourism folks were adament in collecting the full amount initially. Also, they were particular about making the payment in cash only. So, we're looking forward to an adventurous ride!

Archie's plan sounded good to me.

What we can do is take a call as soon as we reach Hoskote. If the weather is fine, then we head on to Palmaner and the old plan stays. If not, then we take a deviation and go directly to HH via Chintamani on SH82 and wait for the Chennai boys there itself.

I am still hesitant to cancel/postpone the ride if it can be helped.

What say people?

If the rain continues like this better take Chintamani route.. doesnt make sense traveling 50 kms more.. fun starts at HH anyway after all guys sit and start talking

Guys. Sorry to say that I won't be joining this ride. I've been asked to work this weekend as I had missed the last 3 weekends and had skipped my turn on weekend support.

Please bear with me for the last minute pull-out. Will join for the next one.
