              @madcatz: Do u actually lose control when u see another mallu?

              for 1-2K, u'll hardly get a DSG. What he needs is something waterproof, a rainsuit.

              @yuv_biking: Just go into any of the hosiery shops or a bag shop where they sell umbrellas and u might find something useful there. Of if there is a big bazaar or something similar, u might find some waterproof clothes. Make sure of buying good quality stuff, u really wouldnt want to find that its leaking water inside 200 kms out of Bangalore.

                      • @Chennai lads: Be prepared for a wet ride. Those who do not have rain coats, do get them. As Praful suggested, go for the light colored ones. We should have some relief once we have crossed about 100 kms.

                        Btw, Prajwal's idea of covering up the legs with plastic (to protect shoes/socks) looks interesting. But don't know how practical it would be. Plastic cover (over shoes) + rain = chances of slipping the footpegs.

                        • Oh please! I am not suggesting u to shrink wrap ur shoes! Just cover it enough so that the shoes dont get wet. Just dont wrap up the shoes too tightly and allow the heels to sit on the footpegs comfortably. You can try it out in the evening with a spare plastic cover. Or else, just wear Wellingtons and get a pair of sandal's with u.

                          • Guys looks like Nisha is going to play spoiler!

                            For those of you who have not yet been properly introduced to Nisha....Meet Nisha...

                            I think you guys should seriously re-consider this trip.

                            From a weather perspective things don't look like they would change much. Agreed its fun to ride in the rain, but over long distances rain+wet clothes (the best of rain coats cannot keep heavy rain away) becomes a HUGE irritant.

                            Not to mention the increased safety concerns due to decreased visibility and higher chances of loosing traction.

                            IMO, just give it a cool thought ppl.....riding in the rain sure is an adventure.....but you definitely don't want it to become a misadventure, so think about it!!!

                            @yuv: Go to the nearest Witco's or Rathna Stores to get good options on rain coats!

                            • I agree .. chennai guys should seriously reconsider this trip. Bangalore guys can take an alternate route and shorten the distance to about 160 odd KMs (via chintamani).

                              • @Prajwal: I misinterpreted your post. The second idea looks better - wellington boots + sandals.

                                @Praful: Praveen and I have made a big gamble (risky) to get the accommodation booking done. After doing so much preperations, reconsidering the trip would be a hard-to-digest option.

                                @Praveen: You presence required!
