Well all of John, Krishna, Me & Ankit are out of the ride! Not sure about the other 220 owners!!!

PS: The 220 even today is almost as elusive and exclusive as it was when it launched full fledged about a year and half ago!

            Thanx for the clarification.

I have the usual set (RC, Tax, Insurance, Emission). do not have an NOC, not planning to register in Karnataka. a repeat question. are original documents necessary or attested copies will suffice?

Original documents are better in case of need since they would not be around anywhere "nearby" to rush and get. Some cops are just indifferent about attested photocopies. When you know it, why risk it?

NOC is not required if the vehicle would be in the visiting state for less than 3 months.

                • FYI
NOC is only required when the registration of the bike (from KL to KA) needs to be changed. otherwise just pay karnataka road tax and be happy .

NOC = No Objection certificate, which is required from the previous RTO so as for the Current RTO to change the registration.

Carry Original RC book, but insurance papers and PUC can be xerox copies (insurance papers dont have a photograph or anything, whereas the RC book might have)

although keep it very safe (RC book) it will be HELL if you lose it by any chance or it gets damaged. insurance papers can be reissued if lost (duplicate) from the insurance office, PUC cert hardly takes 30-40 bucks.

                      • All those who live in South Bangalore, there is no point in coming all the way to Cool Joint just to meet up. If there is more than 1 person, then we could simply meet up at Sony World showroom (opp Mahindra) in Kormangala and proceed from there to RMZ Infinity.

This would be better for those who stay in kmgla and BTM and JP Nagar areas.

                        What say?

PS: I am still not sure of making it to the trip!

                        • Prajwal-: That's a good suggestion.

I'm game for that. Who all will come over till Sony World. And at what time?

                          • Anybody starting from Nandi Durga road, Fraser town side towards RMZ? I stay off Nandi Durga road (Benson town). Maybe we cud meet up at some place and proceed together to RMZ. am planning to take the Cox town- Bypanahalli route to get to old madras road. is there any other better route?

                            • Going by today's whether, I am guessing that it might rain in the morning itself. So it would be best if prepared for a wet ride, both ways. All of those who have not made any arrangements for waterproof clothing and luggage, pls do.

To prevent wet shoes, I suggest, at the very least, cover them up in plastic covers and tie up at the ankle, and cover the ankle with the waterproof pants. This should prevent wetting up the shoes and socks.
