Thanks for your encouraging words Sayank; but I don't feel satisfied until I finish it off; the dream keeps prolonging though; hope it turns reality someday

      Tiruchendur Beach

After Tiruchendur, I headed off to Nagercoil & missed out riding through the last leg of ECR due to crystal clear sign boards. Probably this was the second step to failure.

One thing I've to mention is the route from Sethukarai to Tuticorin is a pure bliss; trust me, if you haven't ridden on this road, you're missing something. I was slowly cruising around 90's, forgetting about my work, my family; I was like riding without a care or worry about the world & felt I was the only living creature in the entire world, felt like a free man; occasionally a village might show up, other than that, its just nature, bike & the biker.

        Day Four
One of the horrible day; reason one being my sore in the throat was intense + the other cousin whom we were expecting wasn't joining & another cousin had a college to attend was quite a disappointment. Regardless of all these, I made a point to ride to Kanyakumari & Vattakotta (Circular Fort) for Sunrise.

        Day starts off

One thing I want to mention is, the impressive FE that I got from Rameshwaram all way upto Nagercoil is a whooping 35+ Kmpl; seriously CBR's FE rocked

Needless to say about this place

Inspired from Major Harikesh Sir (T'Log - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...attakotta.html), I wanted to visit Vattakotta at the next opportunity when I was at Nagercoil/Trivandrum & this time I didn't want an excuse.

Vattakotta isn't opened until 9:00 AM; we'd no intentions to wait until then to witness the beauty of Sunrise; my cousin & I had to yield to corruption to get through; first time I ever felt...corruption rocks...sadly though!!!

Same day evening, when our cousin came back from college, we pulled out his Polo for a short spin to Mathur hanging bridge & Colachel.

Colachel...wow!!! What an awesome beach. Sadly...I didn't know this is the last beach I'd be visiting in this trip until then!!!

This is more interesting to watch than the freaking IPL isn't it?

Wow. really amazing. Did not expect that such a place really existed.

Ji...this is nothing; pics are not doing half the justice compared to the real beauty of the place.

                    Day Five
Absolutely crappy day; the sore in the throat was intense, I'd almost prepared myself to visit a Doctor, until when, my Aunt suggested to gargle salt water 3 times a day & compulsory after each meal.

With that kind of situation, myself, Cousin drove to Thenmala picking up Wifey & children in Polo who where at Trivandrum for vacation. Before asking for pics...I only have to say a big sorry. No digital camera works without a memory card left at home

Let's recap the map of day 5

                    Day Six
The sore in the throat gave up & I'd rescheduled my plan to skip Cherai beach & start with Muzhapalingad in Kannur. So the ride would resume from Trivandrum to Kannur on a single day on day 7 & this evening I could probably visit Kovalam, Veli or Shanghumukam beach.

With this in mind, I lazed around till afternoon & left to Trivandrum. By the time I reached there, I got 2 SMS asking to cancel the coastal ride due to Tsunami warnings. I wondered how 75 minutes could collapse everything

That evening, I spent considerable amount of time rescheduling where to continue the ride, say towards Munnar etc. But finally when all the Tsunami warnings were pulled off, I went to fuel station got the tank filled up & came home to find both mine & my Wife's families against me riding through the coast. It took a while for me to assure them nothing is going to happen. So I set the alarm to 4:30 AM, so that I could leave by 5:00 AM

Little did I know what was bound to happen next morning...

                            Day Seven
As both mine & my Wife's families against me riding through the coast. It took a while for me to assure them nothing is going to happen. So I set the alarm to 4:30 AM, so that I could leave by 5:00 AM.

I couldn't sleep much as I woke precisely at 2:00, 3:00 & 4:00 AM; enthusiastically, washed face, brushed teeth, had water, went down to load the saddles & tie my back pack, that is when...

God sent or not, Wifey was standing besides me when this happened. Needless to say what sort of sentiments ladies have, I'd to untie everything & carry things back to upstairs.

But that didn't let me down though; I wanted to ride somewhere; anyway I'd permission from previous day to ride anywhere I want except the coast. So the next 1+ hours were spent trying to figure out where to ride in KL. All sorts of possibilities in all possible directions.

Again, little did I know how unforgettable that ride was going to be...

@aargee: Man, do not call this a failed ride. It is a ride which did not go as per the plan that's all. Most of the times it is going to be like that and now you have gained +1 experience points.. may be more than 1 point there..

You have got great courage to take your CBR to the sands of Dhanushkodi(Most dehydrating place) and a good decision to return back..

The trip itself is very inspiring. Really, I wish I was part of such a ride. Could really understand a wife's look when something like that happens. Can't escape such sentiments!!

Hope you don't carry any disappointments from the ride. If you have, then cheer up and there's always a next time to try.
