      Thanks for compliments.

I know that those guys feel as if we are going for racing with full gear and so can't control their urge to prove their stupidity. At the same time, there was a duke owner riding on the same road at more or less same speeds as us. He was absolutely perfect. Gave us side when we wanted to overtake, overtook us when we got slow but never in a competitive way.

      In total, Awesome sir!!!

Now looking out for sponsorship for next ride. On a serious note, it becomes very difficult to avoid business and take such a long leave which does not involve family. Let's keep fingers crosed.

Actually been to Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Kerala twice, also did Chennai, Mahabi, Tanjore etc. in car some months back so South India is on backburner.

            Post Script :-

After returning from the ride, I got extremely busy in pending work and kept riding the Ninja for next 10-12 days on bent rim. I used to get air filled up daily as it was losing nearly 15 psi air pressure per day.

As expected, the rim was not in stock with PBK. The cost of rim was 23k + taxes. Overall 26k approx. Even if I made an insurance claim and insurance company allowed 80% of this value, I would be required to 5k+ from my own pocket. Also I would lose ‘No Claims Bonus’ next year and have additional ‘Own Damage’ premium from next year onwards.

So I made a decision to get the rim repaired. One such facility exists in Pune. They heat up the rim and put it back in shape. It is not 100% perfect and the wheel loses some structural integrity due to heating process. However, 95% was good enough for me so I opted to get the rim repaired at a cost of Rs.1,200/-.

Riding on it for last more than 2.5 months without any issue.

                Perfect

Just as it mentions in your signature "If you are getting bored with nothing to do in office". Infact i was bored but now WOW what an amazing trip. Perfect boredom beater. Amazing write up and great photos. Truely respect your passion for the motorcycles.

One question though. Did you find why the rim is soo costly? Some special alloy mix or something.
