SuvraGanguly absolutely smashing pictures Suvra bhai... The one with the windmill out if focus in the back is really nice. Glad and proud to have ridden along... Big thanks for the pics.

Cannot wait for the the continuation... Am already super excited reading it...

... Especially remember the early morning mist that rose from the ground in wafts of steam like as if the earth was cooking. The ride from there to the windmills was a superb experience.

Cheers all.

Woke up, opened xbhp and here it is, the continuation of our travelogue is all set. As usual nice writeup suvra bhai with some awesome set of photos, again feeling like to go back to those moments, especially the night ride, that we had frm bangalore to chitradurga. That was the time when SuvraGanguly was converted into a ghostrider and bike unka chal nai raha tha, ud raha tha. What say Vykier and snehithpereira.

@seahorses - I hope that LED light on your Bull is pointed properly so as to make sure that it won't blind the incoming traffic from the other side. That is BRIGHT.
The LED's are pointed exactly to hit a truck's windscreen so that they will automatically slow down and put low beam, without any delays.

Saquib, you spoke my mind, bro! LOL!! Snehith, I say whaaat,, 'that awkward moment' hahahaha, looking at your pic. BTW you have been captured from different angles, though.
seahorses - I want those lights. My best offer is 500 bucks each, i.e. if my battery and coil setup supports

Anyways, did anyone else notice the ribs & finger part in the narration?. huh! Scary!

Ayega Bhai baaki riders ka akward moment bhi ayega... I was just innocently drying my jacket you see
speaking about the ribs, That was some scary shit... Just glad that the rest of the mess was already scooped out

BTW a note to all, do not underestimate the power of the Bajaj Avenger , its a serious rocket and in the hands of Mr. Suvrajit it does fly ... Well its a different story that at a certain point i stopped everyone thinking something fell off the bike... only to realize the loud 'clunk' was the avengers gears being shifted

Day 1: ooo..Curves..

Taking a short break at Alnavar, we made our way towards the Goa border. The upcoming stretch was curvy and i was ready with my camera. Did not have a camera mount with us so ended up doing some "jugaad" . The next 35 KMs until Ramnagar was through a forest with some awesome curves. Road condition was not as good though as we expected. There were few medium to deep potholes at places near the curves. Now, here is what we saw (read we - me, Snehith and Ashish): Advyth showed his true colors here. He came out from his shell now, as if you know the curves are calling him. He zoomed past us, took out every curve like a pro, taking exactly the white line, not touching even a single pot hole!. It was a sheer bliss to see this kind of pro-riding and that too at a stretch where there were some blind curves and in some of them, potholes existed! My my..i so regret to not having taken the video of this pro-biker while doing the cornering. However, i present before you some of the shots i managed, but trust me it does not do justice to what we actually experienced.

Moving further to the forest road, Snehith spotted one small road that leads to a slim river bed. We took that diversion and yes, it was worth a visit. Pictures from the river bank goes below.

Amazed by the beauty of nature, we continued our way towards the border. It was already 02:00 PM when we crossed the border. We asked directions to the waterfalls and headed straight towards it. Couple of miles and we came across the first board.

We had no time to waste so we ignored the board and moved towards the falls taking the highway. By the time we reached the Dudhsagar falls station, it was 03:00 PM. We kept asking people of directions going to the falls but did not get any clear answer. Finally one kid asked us are we planning to go by bike. After coming to know about our intentions, he said that there is a jeep service that works around here, but it is closed by 03:00 PM. So, if we want, we can take our bikes on the same route. Snehith got interested and asked the kid to show the route. In the meantime, when Snehith was away, i took out the camera and started clicking a few shots.

By that time Snehith had come back seeing the route that the jeep takes. His was giving a confused look to us. When asked about it, he said that we are actually not sure whether our bikes can take the risk, because there are three deep rivers and given that we are already tired after the long journey, it is actually not advisable to go to the falls right now. A bit of discussion and it was decided that we would bunk for the night to Margao which was around 50 KMs from Dudhsagar waterfalls. We would come back tomorrow and make an attempt to see the falls.

We headed towards Margao within few minutes and after enquiring at few places about any beach resort, we ended up finding one at the Colva beach. Decent enough A/C rooms for 1500/- (the entire room charge and not per person) was perfect for us. We rushed into the shower, got freshened up and headed out for a nice dinner by the beach, in a shack. Almost all of us were tired to the core and wanted to get some sleep at the earliest. It was time for me to take some solos though .

It was in the middle of the dinner that we got one bad news. Advyth revealed that in the middle of the journey he received a call from his client and something urgent had turned up. So he has to rush back to Bangalore next morning . We tried convincing him, but it was actually in vain because this was business related and nothing could be done about it. Anyways, sadly we had to support his decision. However, a big salute to him because in the middle of the journey, knowing that he would be going back, he did stick with us till the end.

Few minutes after dinner, everyone crashed into bed.

Next up: Day 2: The Falls..

A slightly more clear shot of the food. See the only thing I cared to take a pic of on this ride was this (that too asked ashish to click it for me)

BTW small addition over here. The moment I went to scout the road ahead at dudhsagar with a local kid (aged 8 maybe) , the kid offered to lead with his cycle and asked me to follow till the start of the trail.

We went ahead and once I saw the beginning of the trail I was pretty confident that my faired bike had a mighty challenge if I were to go ahead, the kid on the other hand had more confidence in me and this is the conversation that followed:

" Tension kyun le raha he baap, tera bike bilkul jaayega, tu aaram se jaa, apun bol raha he na, apun log dekha he. Lekin ek baat sun tu aur tere dost he na, aage reach hone ke baad masti nahi karneka. Ye sab chokre log ka bahut lafda chal raha he aaj kal. Parso hi ek chokra margaya doob ke.

Sida sida jaane ka, falls ka maja lene ka aur lautne ka, waha masti karne ka nahi. Goa aye ho full enjoy karne ka aur lautne ka. Sab lafda wafda karne ka nahi. Tu abhi goa mein aaram kar aur waaps aaram se laut ja"

I was like :what: :screwy:

All I said was thank you bhai and returned.

The best was when the stupid truckers weren't willing to lower their lights all we had to do was let ashish take the lead, and not only would the truckers beams dim but they would even go to the left
That's a good revenge on them then. Light for the light just like an eye for an eye

I hope then those LED lights would make them enlightened for what they do to others
