    Prologue

    I
t's not what you ride, but that you ride. It's not how fast you go, it's about enjoying the Ride. Its's not when you started riding, but continuing to ride each day.

Biker instincts, biker minds, biker souls. These things come together when a bunch of riders meet up over a cup of coffee and decide a random destination to ride. At that moment, you so feel it right to say " A lot can happen over coffee"

Anyways, let me come straight to point here. Saturday evening was when couple of us met over a cup of coffee and some chit chat. Withing couple of minutes into the meeting, we realized that it was quite some time now that we, xBhpians have made any random plans and go, explore. Next couple of moments were hot with places popping out from everyone's head and somehow getting rejected because it was either not a nice time to visit or it was too long for a single day ride. Finally, the plan freezed to visiting Charmadi ghats and explore more. Not many among us have visited the Charmadi ghats before and i hence sensed a hidden excitement on many faces as we dispersed, deciding to meet at Sony World Signal, Koramangala @03:00 AM.

Below was the plan that was decided by us:

Now, let me introduce you to the Riders:

    1. Saquib Ahmed (xBhp id: @saquib3005). He rides a Yamaha R15 V2.0, a tourer by heart.
    2. Ashish Menon (xBhp id: @seahorses). He rides a RE Classic 500, a tourer by heart.
    3. Lohith Kanakaraj (xBhp id: @nooblet). He ridea a KTM Duke 200, a tourer by heart.
    4. Jeevan Rao (xBhp id: @jeevan.life). He rides a Honda CBR 250R ABS, a tourer by heart.
    5. Pratik Gupta (xBhp id: @pratik.pat). He rides a Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, a tourer by heart.
    6. Lastly, me, Suvrajit Ganguly (xBhp id: @SuvraGanguly). I ride a Bajaj Avenger 180, a tourer by heart as well.

So, you see all the 6 riders riding this time were tourers and yes, most of them were solo tourers, travelling together as a group after a long long time.

Some teaser pictures as of now:

                            Ride Day

It was 02:00 am in the morning that I woke up by the loud sound of my mobile alarm. I had less time on my hand to get ready. I had to go pick Ashish as well because his steed was parked in my garage. Anyways, by the time I was ready and checking my bike, Pratik arrived at my place. We went together to pick Ashish, who stays not far from my home. By 02:45 am we three were at my house, giving some final touches to our preparation for the ride. In the meanwhile, got a call from Saquib as well confirmed that he is ready as well. We headed out towards the first meeting point, Sony World Signal, Koramagala. Please note that in this log, I would be sharing the pictures from my and Pratik's cameras and Saquib's iphone.

Time: 03:00 AM - We 4 were right on time, went to the petrol bunk to fuel up (making our steeds happy and our pockets sad . We then headed towards our second meeting point, Neelamangala Toll Gate where we were supposed to meet Jeevan, ETA 03:30 AM.

Time: 03:25 AM - We reached Neelamangala Toll Gate finding that Jeevan had brought a pleasant surprise with him, i.e. Lohith is joining us for the ride as well! We were elated because we have not ridden much with Lohith and many of us wanted to ride alongside him. The starting picture of our ride is as follows:

Time: 03:35 AM - The ride begins! The route was pretty much simple till Hassan as it was a long straight highway. We anyways wanted to have tea somewhere in the middle before we reach Hassan, just to make us fresh. We started of with a single line formation, led by Jeevan, Saquib, Me, Lohith, Pratik and Ashish. Cool early morning breeze combined with headlights on the dark highway made me feel awesome, simply awesome. It was a time when you want to forget all the tensions in your life and you just want to ride. Like John Abraham said in his ad : "I like the sound of silence and the only thing louder than that should be the roar of this engine". True that. The moment this thought came to my mind I heard the monstrous thump of the Classic 500 from behind. Man, if that is the sound of the engine, how can somebody like the sound of silence! Suddenly, the formation felt so boring and it needed a reshuffling. Couple of overtakes happened and now the position was Ashish, Me, Lohith, Pratik, Jeevan and Saquib. Our speed increased as well.

Moving on, we made our first stop, miles away after Nelligere for some hot coffee on a roadside stall. I was desperate to pull out my camera and start clicking pictures. Here, I got my first chance.

After a good 15 minutes break we made our way towards Hassan. It was 05:00 AM and we expected the sunrise to happen once we reach near Hassan. And it did happen, some 20 Kms away from Hassan.
