    @hydbiker,rachit & others:I can manage only 12-15 days of leave and would like to surely complete LEH this year.
    any plans would really be helpful

    proposed dates:6-21st june

    11-26 july

    or any date in june/july which wud involv taking a leave of 2 weeks from office.

            exactly dude.If you returning back from delhi in 2 days than you can reach in two days too...right..

            I think we can rework some dates alongwith you and plan such that we can join you in delhi by riding for two days from Mumbai.

            Can discuss over your itinerary thread...

                Mid June seems the best period as we can expect less show and no rains.

                One of my friends, Charan, has some personal commitments and therefore we are planning for july 1st week, and want to be at Pangong Tso on FULL MOON Night

                  DAY 1 - DELHI TO NARKANDA 410 KMS
                  DAY 2 - NARKANDA TO SARAHAN 45 KMS
                  DAY 3 - SARAHAN TO CHHITKUL 60 KMS
                  DAY 4 - CHITKUL TO NAKO 45 KMS
                  DAY 5 - NAKO TO KAZA VIA TABO - 50 TO 90KMS NOT SURE
                  DAY 6 - KAZA TO KEYLONG - 150 KMS
                  DAY 7 - KEYLONG TO SARCHU
                  DAY 8 - SARCHU TO LEH
                  DAY 9 - LEH
                  DAY 10 - LEH TO PANGONG LAKE
                  DAY 11 - PANGONG TO LEH
                  DAY 12 - LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY
                  DAY 13 - NUBRA VALLEY
                  DAY 14 - NUBRA TO LEH
                  DAY 15 - LEH TO KARGIL
                  DAY 16 - KARGIL TO SONMARG
                  DAY 17 - SONMARG TO SRINAGAR

                  please comment on it with suggestions. Also can I include tso moriri? How much time does it takes from upshi? Also do I have to go to leh first and arrange permits and come back to upshi for pangong and tso moriri or is there a way to have permits beforehands here in delhi

                        That's the same dates my plan is for. Will post the details soon... working on distances and diversions... there are so many of them and the time is not just enough.

                        I was thinking about your plan. For almost half a day today. You guys are spending like 5 days before you hit the Himalayan range. 6 days in Hot sun and you are already tiered. Why don't you guys do the Leh first and visit the other places in return journey? Riding in normal highways is much easier than riding on mountain passes and here you can skip something if you feel tiered... But when at Leh you cannot skip something... you have to ride back all the way. Yes, you have reserve days but still...

                          Guys, I am planning to do this trip but the problem is funds as I am a student so it would be a little difficult for me to manage the expenses. I was wondering that if I could find some sponsors, then it would be helpful for me. Will castrol and XBhp sponsor me for this ride? Please let me know as to how can I approach companies for sponsorship.

                            That was Lovely...... if you manage to get something of the sorts , do let me know...am ready to do Leh on any bike, with all the paint work and stickers....if anyone sponsors my fuel and other expenses...Smoking...I will take care on my own...Cheers
