Ofcourse it will Ji; Didn't I tell that earlier in the first post that this is going to be a bible for Leh? That's exactly what has happened & will happen; your methodical approach & systematic planning beats everything else & that's what has been reflected on your T'LogOriginally posted by trustvishwas View PostJust now checked. can you please let us know the store or location where we can get army stuffOriginally posted by trustvishwas View PostPre Ride Preparation
1. Bike
Ever since I bought a Ninja, I wanted to take it for Ladakh ride. MG, Praful and several other guys strictly advised me against doing so. So my hunt for a bike started. The most serious challenge was that whichever bike I borrowed for the ride, I would need to give my Ninja to that guy for the duration. Several candidates propped up in my mind but finally my childhood friend won the contest hands down because I knew that he would be too scared to take my bike out on the road. Since he had a FZ, I finalized on taking a FZ to Leh.
2. Off Roading Experience
3. Endurance
4. Luggage
Then I decided to keep quite about my plans and not to leak anything to paaji. In the mean time niks_devil asked me whether I wanted to borrow his saddle and tank bags. I jumped on the offer and took delivery of the luggage immediately. Niks must have thought I had gone mad to collect bags so early but I was afraid that paaji will claim this luggage also. The Rohit asked me whether I would like to borrow his sack + bungee cord and Ankit asked me whether I would like to borrow his gloves. I picked up all this material well in advance and then only informed the group about my progress.
5. Clothes
6. Maps, Geographical Info etc.

Guy riding with me on RE Thunderbird did not suffer due to altitude sickness. However, the bike developed oil leak and consumed 3 litres of oil during those 12 days. Also his battery conked off in Shrinagar. Replacement was not available so every morning he got a good warm up exercise of kicking RE at least 50 times.Originally posted by Jeevan25 View PostHow about RE Thunderbird's performance on your way to LEH...did you people faced any issue with that bike. I want to know your call about RE Thunderbird.
The store does not have any name. It is located in Juna Bazar in Pune. The clothes sold are brand new. However, not all sizes are available all the time. Alankar Mishra and Ketan_R15 know location of this shop.Originally posted by rahul2880 View Postcan you please let us know the store or location where we can get army stuff
I am not aware whether this is available in Mumbai.
You should also read this link - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/1...tml#post465252
Also it has been pointed out by my serving friend, that the clothes available there are not legally available.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Thank you for an amazing and engrossing trip log Vishwas.
What you have portrayed - is the trip in its entire form, being very objective. This trip has taken you through almost everything you can feel... happiness, saddness, bliss, frustration, endurance..... i'm still out of words except for Amazing! One COMPLETE trip you've had... and what a destination!!
When ever you were subjective, i laughed out loud ... receiving stares from my colleagues who were wondering which comedy movie was i watching when anything and everything is blocked in the office!! (i'm lucky to not have XBHP blocked by the firewall).
Rated the thread as i stand by your belief regarding the stars. It would have mattered to me in case i posted something similar. Even a single star by a reader would have lit up my face with joy. If credentials are to be valued, i wished xbhp were never hacked ... we all lost our identities only to come back and start from a clean slate. I'm still a baby going by my post count on the reincarnated xbhp
Thanks again. Have fun and more such trips on your Ninja and keep us hooked to .. as some body put it.. "Channel Vishwas"
