    Pune to Aurangabad via Nagar is in good condition. Except for peak traffic hours crossing Pune shouldn't be an issue.

      Just a little review, usual traveller on Nagpur pune route.
      Latest Road conditions -
      Nagpur - Amravati :- 4 Lane highway (no issues)
      Amravati - Mahekar :- single Lane (manageable but traffic in weekends)
      Mahekar- Jalna :- Double Lane (road was too bad previously, but repaired now and no need to take deolgaon-raja chikhli turn..)
      Jalna - aurangabad - Ahmadnagar :- 4 Lane, but some work going on, so diversions made. Drive safely.
      (manageable traffic, little patch work may imbalance vehicle) (if aurangabad bypass taken, there's a little confusion while you touch near city limits, people there drive insanely)
      Ahmadnagar - pune :- 4 Lane highway (smooth roads, but caution while crossing villages)
      Bypass recommendations -
      # Amravati bypass recommend.
      # Malegao bypass recommend.
      # Mahekar bypass recommend.
      # Jalna bypass - recommend.
      # Aurangabad bypass only if you are traveling in peak hours or weekends, or else take city route.
      # Ahmadnagar bypass recommend.

        Planning to ride to pune via old pune highway. need to know the present road condition and also want to know if anyone is riding to pune this weekend i.e. saturday moring from mumbai can ride along.

              Pune to Ahmednagar. Distance 125 km. 4 lane highway with smooth roads and sweeping turns. Quite a few small towns along the way and industrial areas till Ranjangaon. This is an alternate route to places like Shirdi and Nashik.

                Just an update...
                Last Saturday ( July 30 ) I went to pune via old highway ( NH4 ). Highway is too good & butter smooth . No traffic at all .
                Returned on Monday ( August 1) ..got heavy rains from Lonavala . So beware of heavy rains & heavy fog especially at lonavala. Other than that road is good.

                  Made a ride from Pune to Solapur NH 65 and back Monday Aug 15 a distance of 250km one way. The roads are awesome and tolled almost throughout the journey. I liked that the toll plazas were well spread out between each other. Encountered a strong headwind on the way back, but other than that, the ride was amazing.

                    Yep, pune solapur highway is amazing but unfortunately the same can't be said if you are riding further towards Hyderabad.

                        Solapur to Hyderabad is around 300km. On Maharastra side roads are under construction so you will face diversions, on Andhra Side roads are ok. You will face lot of heavy vehicles no proper hotel/restaurants but lots of dhabas.

                              for now m going by this route
                              Mumbai- Nasik-Yeola-Vaijpur-Aurangabad-Jalna-Sindkhed Raja( via deaulgaon right turn)-Mehkar-Karanja-Amravati

                              can anyone update about road conditions, also i was thinking is it good to go from jalna via chikli akola amravti road

                                Can't update on the whole route but Aurangabad-Jalna is in super condition similar to pune nagar road.
