Shoots!!! If he had BSNL, could've helped him a lot; quite a few friends are doing Leh/Ladakh/Kargil trips & they're at the same location. I could've helped him get a nice hotel at good price. Very bad that I overlooked the itinerary & didn't help him!!!

                  Pan India Trip

Hello guys! Sheesh it's good to be communicative! My carrier is BSNL but is prepaid and prepaid doesn't work in J&K. So when I left Manali and entered the J&K my connectivity went kaput. On 27th night spent in a tent accommodation at Sarchu(boy was it cold!), 28th at Leh (first punctures, rode about 100km and got it fixed in Leh), 29th at Drass (it is said to be the 2nd coldest inhabited place on earth!) 30th finished Srinagar and reached Jammu. Now on my way to Amritsar and on the way in Gurdaspur getting the bike serviced. Waiting in the lounge and writing the post. Thanks Ironhorse & Aargee for the updates and concern.

Frankly there's nothing to Thank me; I'm really cursing up myself to have not tagged you along with someone enroute who're doing Leh at this time of the season My grey cells are getting stronger probably that I couldn't think in those lines. It would've been more fun, less tension & felt more confident when you know someone is riding/driving with you.

Anyway, once I'll keep track atleast going forward

BTW, watch out for Tata Aria where Ananth (from xBhp Chennai) & team are raiding Leh

                      Pan India Trip

Human relationships are made of concerns & caring and it's my minimum courtesy that I acknowledge & thank. To tell you frankly Aargee Himalayan belt is best done alone. The landscape is soooo vast it makes you insignificant & all the time nature keeps telling you why she is so great & why we can not replicate its magnitude and grandeur. To really enjoy the terrain and get the real feeling and oh! yes fear, you need to be alone here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mind you I really appreciate your concern & feeling! Company somehow here takes the bite out of it. Hope you understand! Once again thanks! By the by I met a few riders (5) from Bangalore (xBhpians) doing the Manali to Leh route. They flew in, hired bikes and were doing the trip. Met another chap Nitesh from Bangalore who was doing reckee for the Raid the Himalayas race on a BMW along with a friend of his on a modified Karizma (I didn't meet him). Met a couple Joseph & Helen (UK),Michael (German) & A D Chowdary from West Bengal, all separately bicycling the terrain. Met 3 Israelis, 4 French riding the Manali to Leh stretch. Well it was intercontinental!

^^^ Fantastic report Good to know that you're enjoying the ride Solo; not that I love Solo always, most of my trips were also solo; no boundaries, no rules, no waiting, no caring, no leading, no following, all you have to ensure is "NO FEAR" & keep riding Group ride is another kind of fun where I've no fear, no stress, less tension, feel like ruling the road. Good that you're meeting people & making friends

So where're you going to head next? Enter into RJ?

PS - I'm little confused with Gurudaspur as GMap says it's in Bangladesh. Pls help understand. TIA

Thanks for understanding my feelings! I have always been a maverick & so riding alone on my terms suits me I presume! Well everything said and done this forum is meant to group up like minded people not isolate them! Right? So comraderie is the rule & solo is an exception!
Yes I am right now in Jaipur and tomorrow shall go to Bhopal. Gurdaspur is a District in Punjab and falls on the way from Jammu to Amritsar.
