The roads are good most of the way, with a few exceptions of course. However, for a biker, it is very much rideable albeit a little risky at times. If you do plan to ride there, don't grow over-confident at any moment of time.Originally posted by zayn View Post

Ya, that's absolutely true..now that we have got used to all these luxuries..we wont be able to cope up with the not so luxurious life out there.Originally posted by Aryan View Post
Would love to, really! But, we urban dwellers are so bloody used to the "luxuries" of life, I am not sure whether I would actually be able to stay for the rest of my life in place like Chaukori, but I won't mind those kinds of temperatures.

But, one can think of such an option after the retirement though..wat say..?

Then i guess you are MADE to be live there, if you can withstand those tempratures..Originally posted by Aryan View Post@Inder: Yes, -2 degrees celsius. And you know what? My "body parts" move better when the temperature dips below zero degree celsius, I realized this!

You could share the route, stay, place details with us though.Originally posted by Aryan View PostAs for the logs, well, I didn't go by motorcycle, as my P200 has been down with some sort of "mood-swings" lately, whereby she just intermittently shuts down on it's own. I didn't want to take a chance.

However, I'll share a few details and photographs on this thread itself, for information sake, once I am back in Delhi tomorrow (26th January!) evening.

Ohh so this the "Mysterious place" eh..Originally posted by Aryan View Post@Inder: I am at Haldwani right now, which is the foothills to the Kumaon region. I managed to travel to Almora, Bageshwar, and most importantly Chaukori, where I spent two days (23rd and 24th). I'll be reaching Delhi tomorrow afternoon/ early evening, after which I'll write a detailed description about the place (Chaukori) along with a few photographs.

Nice going Aryan, never heard of this place..but i am sure after reading ur log..it would settle down in my mind..!
But, lemme tell you..a "Few" photographs wont do justice..you have got to bring a lot of them, a full 4 day vacation means lotsa pics..

Originally posted by Aryan View PostP.S: The night temperature at Chaukori last night was an amazing -2 (yes! Minus two) degrees celsius and I went out, took a nice one hour long stroll on the village roads! Absolute, heaven I tell you.

@ Aryan: Then the P220 S is THE bike for you coz it has the same looks as a 200..so when ever u see it you would image it to be ur (previous) 200 only..but in terms of power you would feel a bit more than usual.
All the best for your trip.

@Inder: There is no mystery as such. Just want to go there and see for myself how the place is, in actual, before posting it up here.
As for your second query, yes, a great deal of why I want to get some other motorcycle is because the P200 is giving me intermittent problems off-late.
P.S: I'll surely get some macros (and landscapes ofcourse).

You don't need to "guess" Kurt. I had already talked to you at length about this, over PMs and when you had actually come to Delhi.Originally posted by kurtrules View PostThats nice! Enjoy your trip and needless to say, click lots!
Waiting for the "some place" update, though I think I could guess

Yes, I'll definitely get some photographs. I just hope the weather allows me to get the different hues of landscape shots that I am after!

Once I'm back, I'll be sharing more details in this thread. Oh, and this time I am not going on my motorcycle. The P200 has been giving me certain problems off-late. So, for a change, I'll take a bus!
