That person who quoted that price wanted to loot you big time. I was quoted 1850 and 1950 for front and rear respectively. Still want to know whether this is the correct priceOriginally posted by kirankoti View Post

The price included the tube , so it could have been around that. Anyways, I did not buy it , I went with Pilot Sporty.

The tyres are tubeless tyres! There isnt supposed to be a tube!

I was trying to get a replacement for my Apache RTR 180's rear tyres which are in pristine condition but skids really lot...
I was suggested that R15 v2.0's new 130/80-R17 tyres would fit since i was looking for a soft compound tyre. But going to the MRF showroom proved otherwise. It was too big for the swing arm.
Do you guys know of any 120/80-70/17" soft compound tyres which i can put in for my RTR ? Price would not be a problem because the last two years I've rode on TVS sreechakra tyres was a nightmare.
Thank you...

Yes my exact reason for not going for the tyre and it was a tad too wide for my Discover 125 , I like leaning into corners and the lower profile and soft rubber made me consider it.Originally posted by Aditya7 View PostHey,

Anything can be fitted on to anything with enough modification , but will it achieve the intended result is a question and the cost benefit ratio.Originally posted by speedxxx View Postcan we fit yamaha r15 version 2.0 swingarm for honda unicorn...??
May I ask why do you want to go the R15 swing arm?

I know what you mean. My brother has an Apache 180RTR, and every time I rode it, it was a nightmare. It was a skid-happy tyre, prone to skidding every time you tried to lean on it or saw a patch of water.Originally posted by pybliss View PostI was trying to get a replacement for my Apache RTR 180's rear tyres which are in pristine condition but skids really lot...

Pirelli Sport Demons would seem to be the best option for you, though 110/80 "17 and 120/80 "17s are rarer that the 130/70 and 140/70s.
Or you could go for the MRF Zapper-C 120/80. I never had any problems with them, and they were more than adequate for the job. Good wet and dry grip. In fact, better wet-road grip than the Contis I have on my CBR250.

Secondly why do you want to get a 130 profile on unicorn (I guess just for looks), it will hamper unicorn's handling, mileage, speed, accelerationLast edited by prateek2210; 06-20-2012, 09:43 PM.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

I will be taking my duke 200 to leh in july, and am not confident about the oem tyres for offroading, and wet grip in the hills. Are there any options in the dual purpose tyres in the stock size, if not, can 140/70r17 be used instead of 150/60r17. What are my options, please suggest something as I am quite confused.
