    dude even for the 250 rim the ideal size is 130. yes it does run on a 140. why do you want to plonk a fatter tyre and loose that quick handling.
    above that 140/70 will be higher than 130-70. so increased tyre height and will be sluggish. use the stock 130-70 size... get a pirelli.
    15-17k is good life.. for my 250.. my tyre get squared out at max 12 and the issues start at 14.. like uneven handling and high speed wobble and tyre cupping...

      Need rear Tyre suggestion for Zma

      Hello xbhp-ians,
      first of all sorry for posting a question which has been already discussed innumerable number of times. I've been through all the thread ,read each and every comments and still can't narrow down. so please help me o find a good rear tyre that match my needs.
      My zma clocked 23.5k kms , so it's time to change the stock zapper y, so far I'm pretty satisfied with the zapper,haven't got a single puncture till date. but still wanna try some other tyre this time. I mostly ride in city roads and high way tarmac,very rarely off-roading. gonna attempt saddle sore in a short while. so i want a good tyre with good stability, zig-zag maneuverability, good braking on wet surface & gravel. after a gargantuan research i've shortlisted few.so please suggest me the good one ,if there is any other choice also let me know. Here are my choices
      1. Mrf zapper Q
      2. ceat vertigo
      3. michelin sirac street
      4. mrf meteor
      5. dunlop monster


      expert advice ,experience logs & valuable inputs are highly appreciated,thanks in advance.

      P.s: i stick to stock sizes.

        Got 2.75*17 tyre fitted in front. Handling feels like home again.
        Back ache problem gone and headlights focusing is automatically corrected.

            Want to change rubber on my p220..stock came till 31.6k but from yesterday running with flat rear tyre..lol while I was standing in a single some guy pointed my tyres I said ya I know , he also pointed puncher shop next to us but I said I'll change my tyres he was like ahh..

            BTW stock served good in dry..but I'm bored seeing the same thread pattern in almost all the bike hence wanted to try something new with life similar to stock I.e 30k kms

            But sadly none of the tyres seem better vfm compared to stock I.e zapper c..I guess zapper vyde is the only option but I'm concerned about its life as I don't want to change tyre's again for 16k kms or something like that ..I would like to know, does the vyde live up to 30k...
            Btw the stock tires are not bald but the thread indicator is in level with thread which is the perfect time to change IMO

              Anyone who knows what fits in v1 yamaha r15

              I currently have
              front: 80/90*17 on a rim of 1.60 zapper FY
              rear: 120/80*17 on rim of 2.15 MRF vyde

              I am due to change tyre this winter. I am pretty happy with these, they handle and grip as I need.
              especially I am thinking of getting pirellis of these sizes.
              Any recommendation?

              PS: Most riding conditions would be dry, hard cornering and no off-roads much.

                  I put a Pirelli sport dragon 130/70-R17... Fits without any alteration. Runs like a charm!!! ..if you want to switch to pirelli. Go for the above mentioned one. You should probably get it for about 4K ...

                    Thanks for the pics, the pirelli looks just fine. I have mrf vyde of 120/80 and the clearance between tyre right side of swingarm is, say 5mm or a bit more.
                    So I am concerned that 130/70 would fit without touching. I have heard MRF revs and IRC tyre of same size can be fitted on v1 so pirelli can be.
                    It would be very very assuring 'if' you can give me pic of the clearance to swing arm near the passenger foot peg portion or maybe later when you are free, that is where mine used to touch until I had to pull it back a bit and tighten the chain. Mine is already at 6th mark on the adjusters both side. This is my only concern for rear.

                    As for the front tyre, I am looking for something like stock 80/90 or a bit wider 90/80. That maintains the height of front end. I need a bit more bias towards front for hard braking, planning on hitting track soon that's why lower front height and higher rear would be my prime requirements.
                    so, any idea of 80/90 or 90/80 size tyres from pirelli?

                      Thanks for the reply... Unfortunately I sold the bike a month ago, so won't be able to send you the pics which you asked for. As far as clearance is concerned, the 130/70 is simply plug n play. I didn't have to do any adjustments to the rear wheel,swingarm or the shocks. The tyre arches and narrows down to fit the rim and between the swingarm beautifully. But to be clear I want to state that I can vouch for the Sport Dragon from Pirelli with 130/70-R17 specs only. I doNt know about the other brands.

                        Alright, I am fixing pirelli sport dragon as potential tyre for me.
                        I just gotta worry about front now, I guess I would stick with 80/90 stock tyre or get v2 stock mrf FY1 from yamaha

                          Seems like this diwali, my pulsar wants to ditch euroslips, while I don't have any money in ma pocket :-) .
                          Problems please help to rectify.
                          1. Front tyre (tubeless) is loosing air .pressure drops form 30 to 17 psi in just 4-5 days ,earlier same used to take 1 month for me .checked the nozzle ,tyre no crack/nail etc .even puncture wala gave up .
                          What should I do ..? .
                          2. Back tyre has now one nail and a small 0.5 mm hole .
                          The hole is not leaking any air,as tested by bubble method ,and seriously ,I don't know why ..?
                          Nail wala puncture is looking veryyyy few amounts of pressure .overall no affect on performance or drastic reduction on tyre pressure .already have a puncture ,now I want to know ,with one small hole and one nail inside ,if I ride ,will any problems arise ,except air pressure ..?
                          In dire need of help as no matter how much I want to burn these euroslips, I cannot afford a change right now !!

                                I have a v1 with zapper vyde on rear and stock tyres in the front. I'm happy with stock front but rear is always an issue. So many punctures and not as grippy as zapper s. Please suggest me tyres matching stock or same stock tyres in bangalore. Thanks in advance,
