    I know you wouldn't want to deviate from Stock. By having Sirac Street on the rear, I don't think it would have adverse effect on the engine stress. I have been running on 3.00x18 for many years and had not been disappointing. There is a difference in FE, I don't think Ramesh would bother.

    @Ramesh: There are few things deviated from the stock are acceptable. Tires are one of them.

      Am going to GP Road today

      @aargee - First thing which I have to do is, get a complete tool kit, cant manage with the standby tools which I have used the most and they are of poor quality.

      2. Will have to get the right things now ...I know I have to get a Disc kit (Which one) Pulsar / Gladiator / Apache...not sure which is the straight fit. I believe Pulsar is straight fit

      @Sriram - Not concerned about FE, but no compromise on performance. Just to tell u smthg, on sunday evng just came out on OMR without any helmet or anythg to fill in petrol which am used to do every sunday on all my bikes. A young pulsar 180 guy was provoking me....which I hate the most out of me. Gave him a run for his money till lifeline hospital.
      I felt bad about it.

            I asked the tyre dealer he said that i can have a 140/70 rear and 110/90 on the front and he said its a direct fit without any mods, is there any cons if i go for 140/70

              a much bigger tyre can reduce ur pickup and mileage as well. dont oversize too much

                  Both are straight fit. Both myself & Sri have Gladiator's setup 99% ready.

                    Ok, yesterday just got the tyres...went in for MRF, will try and get this Gladiator set and the tools shortly

                        I have shortlisted the following rear options for my 1st gen Unicorn.
                        Rear(100/90/18)
                        Ceat Vertigo(Tubeless)
                        Dunlop Duro

                        For front
                        Not sure yet

                        My stock tyres have run for 43k and more...I want to go for tubeless options only as I am fed up with frequent punctures.
                        Earlier, I had finalized Mich Pilot sporty for Rear...but I have heard from my friends using it that it doesnot perform well in gravel. Pune roads are good at most places but very very pathetic at some places which ,unfortunately ,I need to take daily. Hence, can not risk it..
                        Ceat Vertigo seems VFM and all season tyre...

                        Please suggest any tubeless option for front. Also, do we have any tubeless options from Pirelli??

                          need suggestion

                          Hey guys my R15 has done 13k + kms and the front tyre is totally dried off but the threads are OK, the rear one looks fine.

                          I'm planning to change it as a pair. So what i thought is to go with the stock MRF again (b'coz the grip factor). Later i found I-RC tyres are good enough and sets up well in R15. Will IRC do good any one tried it on R15 over here. I saw some pics of some R15's in KERALA with I-RC tyre on them .

                          Planning also to upsize the rear end from 100 to 110 or 120?

                            I had posted details on the different available options for the R15 a few days back on this thread. I was not aware of the fact that IRC tyres are available in the R15 sizes (you can check reviews of the tyre at IRC Roadwinner RX-01 Motorcycle Tire - BikeBandit.com). This is even better news for us as our choice list has increased and we dont have to be at the mercy of greedy Yamaha showrooms. Please do post IRC prices if you come across them.

                                My observations about the IRC tyre are:
                                1. It is mostly available as front tyre of a bigger bike, hence using as rear may or may not be advisable.
                                2. There are many fake IRCs available in the market, so beware of that!
                                3. Going by the tread pattern, I still feel Pirelli MT75 is the best bet.
                                Quench my thirst with gasoline!
