My friend's running Pirelli Demon Sport for rear and Michelin M45 for the front tyre on his ZMA. and the grip is phenomenal as compared to some of our local brands like TVS tyres.

      But they quite expensive!

Would have loved to... but had budget constraints... Plus ZapperQ had the best reviews of all in the same price category ... I suppose a decent set of Pirelli's will cost atleast Rs 3000 now
PS: i heard that MRF has launched a tubeless one but only 17 inch... will not fit my Bike ( ZmaR - 18 inch rear)

          Help Needed!

          Alrighto guys...
i have put up these two pics.. have a look at its tyres...
i want to change its tyres..i want to put up a dual purporse tyre...
i have seen may options.. give me sugesstions apart from this..

          i) TVS - JUMBO: This tyre is only avalaible in the rear section..and not for the front rim..
ii) CEAT - SECURA ZOOM: This trye tho provides excellent grip but Both of the these types do not support cornering not on tarmac but also not on dirt..
iii) DUNLOP MONSTER: Its not a dual purpose..
iv) MRF MO-CROSS : This is an excellent tyre on the dirt and mud.. but not on road...
          LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST,

          V) MAXXIS: Both the options are availaible however.its too costly...

@LP: I think you cannot really have a fully dual purpose tyre. Each tyre either has a road character or off-road. Surely you might get something like FKR to server the dual purpose. But again, it is more inclined towards the off-roading. You can check out FKR.

                      • i have CBZ-xtreme 2007 model. done nearly 29k kms till now. 28812 kms to be exact.

running on IRC tyres(made in thailand) got them from an IRC dealer in jayanagar, bangalore

                        size 18"
                        2.75 section front
                        110/80 rear

Dry and wet grip is much better compared to the stock tyre. mud it kind of slips but has good dry off roading capabilities (dry sand, stones) these tyres are very lightweight though. and do not heat that much after a long ride (say bangalore to tumkur 65 kms @ 70kmph minimum)

cornering capability - superb, actually managed to scrape my footpegs for the first time. never felt that confident on the stock tyres (eh.. front). was running a tvs crusader 130/80 rear in between.

                        costs - 1100/- front and 1800/- rear

done about 3.5 k kms and the tyres have worn out a bit. will probably last 15-16k kms. compared to the tvs crusader and the front stock tyre which did 24k kms (and still usable upto another 12k kms) the longetivity is much lesser.

demerit - tubeless tyre not available

                        smaall thumbnailed pics attached

                        • I am quite apprehensive about these tyres working in the wet, how does the water get propelled outwards, especially from the center groove?
