    So,building the image on that,
1.The Pulsar 250 may or may not have a semi fairing, but a muscular looking head set on the lines of P135LS.

2.Monoshock,may or may not be there. But honestly speaking,LS would look better if it had a mono-shock,so mono-shock maybe expected.

3.Somehow,the above graphic design lacks volume and aesthetics.............the 250 would definitely pump up volume so that the bike looks all rounded up !!!!! And these are possible by pumping up scoops, panels, console and beefing up the chassis of the LS to hold the speeds and characteristics of a 250cc machine.

Overall the Pulsar 250,as I assume would be a much more drool friendly package.
    agreed on all three counts...
i wasn't implying that that the P250 would look anything like this.

that JPEG was just my attempt to fan the flames
on the P250 rumours... read, ********* ecetra ecetra.

^No point in putting those old Xenophya sketches.

My guess for the Bajaj 250:

      USD forks,
      Monoshock at back,
      side scoops(tank scoops),
hopefully the muscle styling (like the FZ) ,
      deltabox like frame(non trellis),
      sharp tailpiece,
      short stubby exhaust,
      140 mm rear tyre hopefully
      and clip-on handlebars.

Lets see if I am right or wrong.

Whatever comes and goes, two thing I would like to see this year :

        1. 4 valve Pulsars - specifically, 180 & 220.
        2. RTR ABS.

Saw the Car n Bike show on NDTV Profit this afternoon. I think it was last week's episode.

In the bikes segment, Siddharth mentioned a more powerful SZ & a Fazer 250 will be launched this year from Yamaha.
Also mentioned about the Ninja 650 & KTM 125 & 200 to be launched by Bajaj.

EDIT: According to the same show, the CBR250R will be priced at "Just above 1.20 Lakhs"

            My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

fazer 250 is very much of a possibility. the engine already exists. just a bit of fine tuning and some cosmetic mods. there you go we have a 250 yamaha in india.
superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

                  Aah...........
the 165cc engine of Yamaha may finally find service at last in the SZ

But the present international Fazer YS 250 which is being sold in Brazil only makes 21 Bhp/20Nm any ideas or speculations as to how Yamaha may bump up its power for the Indian market ????

The Fazer YS250 sports SOHC,2V,air cooled radiator with oil(oil cooled),Fuel Injected single cylinder 250cc engine.

Its performance specs is somewhat like a muck in the 250cc bracket. The 220cc Pulsar sports similar power albeit lower torque(19Nm).Yamaha needs to recalibrate that engine for Indian market.

In the same show they mentioned a possible launch of diesel bike

Thats all they said, didn't say who would launch it.

Why would they want it to give it more power? Its not like India is a power-hungry market where higher bhp vehicles get sold out in a jiffy

Gonna be launched by HERO 400cc diesel bike. Nothing else is known. They are in talks with a chennai based firm about it.

Well I am not talking about a power which runs the R1..........a power zone till 40bhp does well.RD350s were sold in India,Comets were sold here and now Ninja 250R too.............

Small bike brands like Pulsar are also going up,Pulsar220 sell like hot cakes in the premium market.By the number of R15s I see on my city roads despite high price and relatively high maintenance,I doubt the fact that people are not ready to buy performance.

Yes vehicles does get sold out in jiffy, people now wants performance too.
