      • New News is IN:

There is a mail directive from Yamaha to all its dealers related to R15 RVR ..
according to it .. the new R15 is nothing but a New modified Body Kits ..which Includes .. front 2 side panels and complete change of rear portion of bike .. apart from it there is no changes mentioned in it ..

        Now The Big part ..

In the directive it asked clearly all the dealers to replace these body kits with all the existing R15's which are under warranty FREE of cost

Now how much the True part here i really don't know .. this info i got from one of showroom's manager during casual talk .. i didn't even asked him abt new bikes from yamaha or New R15

        • the common sentiment among bikers here is that we are not getting any premium 250s and 600s. but let me ask, where are the roads to enjoy these machines. please look outside your windows and all you ll see is bumper to bumper traffic every where. most of us use bikes for commuting purposes ,duringpeak hours, when the average speed you and i maintains may be well below 40 kmph. here in trivandrum the road conditions are so poor that i rarely get any opportunity to exploit my r15. of late i have started using my HH passion for commuting during peak hours. the r15s mileage in stop and go traffic is nothing to be written about. with the increasing population the situation is only going to get worse. a latest market research shows that wealthy people ,who can afford a mecedes or similar cars, are now buying smaller cars in addition to their existing cars for city commuting. the petrol prices that are increasing on a monthly basis is not helping the cause either. all i am trying to say is ,the commuter bike market in the country will only grow, companies are looking for profits and not satisfying the needs of real enthusiasts, and hence will keep on bringing out commuter bikes. the practicality of high power bikes in india is minimalistic.so don't expect high power bikes to rain into the country. it will take its time. when there is demand there is supply. currently the majority demand is for commuters and hence 250s and 600s will have to wait untill the demand for such products are sizeable. in countries like US its just the opposite. besides they have awesome roads for power savvy machines.

My guess for the Bajaj 250:

            USD forks,
            Monoshock at back,
            side scoops(tank scoops),
hopefully the muscle styling (like the FZ) ,
            deltabox like frame(non trellis),
            sharp tailpiece,
            short stubby exhaust,
            140 mm rear tyre hopefully

            and clip-on handlebars.

Lets see if I am right or wrong.
So, you expect the new Pulsar to be copy of the FZ/FZ-S..? I highly doubt if Bajaj will tread that path.. But, if it does, it'll be a proportionate bike with performance and looks..

Those idiots in the US of A think its being sold in India.. Someone from xBhp ought to teach them that India is not a land of snake charmers and elephant mahouts, but of people who TEACH those Cheese Eating Americans how to turn on an electrical appliance if someone had switched it off earlier(Call Centers).. Besides, this looks like a mix of all design cues from all companies in the world.. Rear lights resemble the Suzuki Slingshot, The Beaky front end a copy of the Ducati Multistrada what with those rakish headlights and the enormous clearance between the front wheel and the fairing.. The exhaust muffler looks like a slimmed down Comet's muffler.. And, lastly, the fuel tank from these angles look like a GT650R's tank.. And, the color scheme from a Honda CBR150R.. Talk about creativity..

only for people with warranty? no respect for the initial customers of the r15 who had completed the warranty period. ridiculous.

                • if they are giving it free. give it to all. other wise they are marginalising the customers, some thing reputed firms should avoid doing. no customer satisfaction means no business. he he.

Please understand that there are people who still buy such bikes and use them everyday.. If US has great roads, they also have speed limits except for two states and seriously, with so much power from a 1000cc super bike, you can't do anything above 85mph max when under the scanner.. As for the roads in India, there are plenty of roads where one can enjoy safe high speed biking.. Unfortunately, you're in a state where the NH is mostly two lane.. Alternatively, you could try the adjacent state on a weekend, where there are 4 lane highways at your disposal in just an hour's distance.. There are enthusiasts and they have money.. That's all that the motorcycle companies need.. Besides, what's wrong in expecting..? Had the R15 been launched 10 years ago, how many do you think would've sold..? Be Happy that manufacturers are looking at Indian market as a maturing one atleast now..

Just hope that the CBR250 will not be launched on April 1st.. Or is Honda rather planning to do it for us, the bunch of enthusiastic bikers, as it has done in the past..?

i agree on the part that it is a maturing market and will take time to ripen. as far as the notion of taking the bike to the next state is concerned, its an option only on the week ends ,right? who would want to wait for week ends to come when they have a smashing 250 or a 600 sleeping in their garage? also how ever good roads we have there will always be the omnipresent cattle, dogs and people running across it out of no where. sadly the authorities who build the 4 lane paths don't bother investing a few more to construct fences . i nearly lost my life one year ago when a cattle man blessed the nh7 ,out of no where , with umpteen cattles while i was hitting 136kmph. stopped "neighbour state" rides after that for fear of ending up in a cows belly.

in india there are people to buy even the most expensive products in the world. remember the bugatti veyron launch recently. some one will buy it. wonder where he will ride it? in the US atleast you can break the law and thrash your machine. in india all you will be thrashing is your bones.

I really doubt the part in bold is true. If it is, I will really be happy.
But allso, if it is true, thumbs down to Yamaha. I agree with Akhil's point here - why discriminate between someone whose bike is still under warrany, & someone who's isn't. Afterall, all have bought bikes from Yamaha.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
