Re: Which K&n Airfilter is best for P220? R1100 or BA-2201

Hi, there is no Stock Replacement Air filter for the Stunner. the RC1060 fitted directly on the carb is the best option. Needs rejetting though.

Hi @sniper , Can you kindly suggest me a model number of K&N Filter or any other reputed aftermarket AF that has a direct fit in the Honda Stunner ............. I mean I intend not to touch my AF Setup/box at all .............. I am only looking for a replacement of my stock Honda filter.

Oh, I thought the stock foam filter is oiled by the company. If it isn't, then there is no need for oiling. the manufacturers know best.

What makes me curious is that the design of the foam mesh is made only by considering the permissible size (in microns) of the dust through it. Putting oil though it will result in further clogging of the AF thus compromising its efficiency over a run of 10 k kms (after which the service center seeks a replacement) !! Even I did not see a point in the manual which says anything like draining oil though AF.

    Cheerz!!
True, but then I think the restriction or the mesh of the air filter governs the permissible flow of air going in.

One query (not about a K&N, but my stock AF on Stunner): For the very time when I took my stunner to a mechanic for service outside the authorized service center, he pointed it out to me that the service center guys usually put oil over the air filter which results in choking of the air filter after a run of around 8-10k kms as it is not possible to remove that sticking dust from the AF. He then replaced that AF and kept the new one in place without draining any oil through it as he reasoned that a dry AF can be cleaned of dust. What do you guys say about it ??

I'm not saying its gonna ruin the engine.

These air filters delivers more air to the engine so must be inhaling from from the surrounding ?
and in dusty area too. They do provide safety for such conditions but upto certain level.

And dust entry is not good for engine's long life.
The effect is going to be very late / slow.

Hi, there is no Stock Replacement Filter launched for the NS200 yet. The K&N RC1060 conical is best suited to it as of now. Needs Jetting though.

And which Stock Air filter do you recommend for pulsar 200Ns?
I don't think any stock replacement Filter is going to give that sound.
You have to get the Universal Filter setting done from some good mechanic.

Try K&N, Simolta or UNI !
