Possibly the piston hitting the top gasket or the head itself.I remember your saying that the piston is last oversize...please ensure that the Gasket hole dia is equal or more than the bore hole size, otherwise when the piston comes to top it will most likely hit the gasket..Best to check by assembling only the bore with piston and see where the piston is at TDC...there should be 1 to 2mm gap between top of cylinder and piston top..if it is not there then you should not try to reduce/remove the gaskets..If the gap is there then check the top gasket center hole matching with bore size and fitting.Originally posted by hunkofgals View Post

removed the base gasket
and applied three bond on that place and then
it is making some kind of sound like thud thud sound like some metals striking
so i reverted back to the gasket again
,
PSR sir
please help me with this

Oh ! I did not know that, and thanks for the tech information,....then it must be the FFE which is the reason for the drop in mileage of 25 Kms per liter, and poor performance....Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View Post@ psr
Sir AFAIK we dont have to upjet for fixing FFE.Joel also told the same.

no no there is nothing done in the carburrator. No upjetting.... M sure about that. Its total stock.... I will try tuning the carb once again... And not only mileage, my performance also dropped... Very very weak midrange nw..... I'll post pics of the mod after its done. Thanks a lot everyone....Originally posted by psr View PostTo be safe only one gasket to be removed...removing both may bring the head and piston too close, and Piston may hit the head causing permanent damage...so not advisable.
Fitting the FFE alone cannot cause a drop of 25 kms in FE..your mech had surely done upjetting and carb throttle needle may have been lifted for better pickup...

i own a dio
i dont know its compression ratio
so can u please say me whether it can be done on my bike ?To be safe only one gasket to be removed...removing both may bring the head and piston too close, and Piston may hit the head causing permanent damage...so not advisable.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postsame question here. And my carb is not upjetted... Its stock... Do i ask my mech to tune for performance or mileage? I fitted the ffe only for sound.... I need mileage over performance....though i know that it will drop because of the ffe. I thought it will drop by 4-5kmpl but it dropped more than 25kmpl...... And my stock exhaust pipe hole is large but the point where it enters the exhaust is narrow inside the exhaust...though it looks large....

dont be too greedy now , remove only the base gasket , leave the head gasket as it is , there will only be a marginal increase in cr if you remove the head gasket , then also eliminating it brings with it ,its own set of problems , also do adjust the cam chain slack after you do the modOriginally posted by Rahulbarik View Postsame question here. actually the welding is luking ugly but its actually done quite well.....the weld is strong....Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostTry modding the FFE Pipe to fit exactly as the size of the pipe from engine and a good and cleaner welding.
Happy to see that PSR sir is solving so many problems here .

i am getting a feeling like someone is pulling my bike from behind..... And it feels like the bike is asking for more fuel.... I think i have to remove the ffe. neways i'll sell this bike in december.....
will releasing some more fuel help....? I just love the sound of my ffe. Its so calm yet bassy...
and regarding that gasket part...i thought it will cost 300-400 bucks.
will give it a try.... And try tuning the afr once more... Will have to find the perfect afr... And thnx psr sir.... Will give updates once the mod is done
and sir whats that thing above the tube?
