Almost every Indian motorcycle/car/scooter manual recommended Servo as genuine oil those days. Servo is still a very good oil !
yes the headlight switch integrated into ignition switch is a weird thing in suzuki bikes....shogun and shaolin were an exception I think.....

I feel it's unnecessary for the intended use of the bike . For more demanding purpose Motul has fully synthetic 2T .

That's nearing the end of useful life for 10w30 mineral in my experience too ( around 1500kms ). What if you replace the oil now with any good 10w30 mineral and don't tell the ASC ? To maintain warranty you can always fill their oil during next service .

To maintain the warranty I have to stick to what asc offers. What should I do?

I will suggest 2 methods for you

    1) Use honda throttle fully synthetic instead of honda mineral. This oil will last for 6k kms.

    2) for every 3k or 3 months after servicing in ASC just replace engine oil by DIY or local mechanic. Use honda mineral oil.

As for storage , 5 years is nominal shelf life for motor oil . I'll happily buy anything upto ten years old , if the container is intact and storage was normal ( i.e not exposed to air or sunlight continuously ) . Kept that way , oil doesn't go bad at all , even later .

MAX100R requires 900ml of gearbox oil....as mentioned on the kick starter side of the gearbox....

thanks again for the info sir...u really seem to have a lot of wisdom on oils..... Its surprising to know that motor oils can be kept for that long...10+ yrs.....As far as the 2T oil is concerned, I'm currently using Shell Advance VSX.....i've bought a 1L can of Castrol GO 2T for the next oil fill.....and will try MAK 2T, Servo 2T and HP laal goodha 2T after that.... . I asked the castrol oil dealer about the availability of the Castrol Power 1 Racing 2T oil ( Fully Synthetic ).....but he has no clue abt that.....

    1. Is the Castrol Power 1 Racing 2T an overkill for the MAX100R....if yes, then is it ok to use it on Shogun, RX135(5-Speed)?

    1. thanks for your comment, many mechs and oil dealers instantly said 'Castrol CRB' when I said I want a gearoil for my max100r.

    2. thats exactly the reason I've made this purchase....as I don't want to sell my faithful and beloved max100r.....

The scooter oils sold in India are for bikes having dry clutch & should not be used in motorcycles that use a wet clutch and circulate same oil as engine in the clutch . The scooter oils usually have friction-modifier additives ( like most car oils ) that shall harm clutch system of wet clutch common oil motorcycles . Naturally these dry-clutch scooters can safely use petrol car oils too , which the motorcycles can't .

I'm at 8500 km .. last month IV bearly used the bike due to the monsoons. I'm still on bajaj oil. But I change it every 2000-2500 km. I bought motul 5100 from Amazon on a sale. But haven't used it yet. I will mostly use it at 12500 or so km.

I can feel the oil wearing out and it's just about 2300km since last service.

( yamalube gearoil is an exception though ). after enquiring many mechanics and oil dealers, i've made this decision. the seller agreed to sell this to me for rs. 1450/-.
