So, you kept riding knowing that the engine will seize?? Atleast you could have asked him to park the bike and come as pillion with you,if it was an urgent situation.
Also you poured in the oil, even after suspecting it as fake

We both were on one bike brother so no choice of leaving the bike
A friend was stuck in some family issue and we had to rush there.
And we didnt know it would sieze... I askd my friend to stop but he hardly cares for his bike.... it had an oil change aftr 1 and a half years I think...
Hid seat was torn last year and the rains that made it wet few mnths ago...still have there mark because the seat foam is still wet!! Sbeit a little less
I guess you get the picture hoe much he cares,
My bike is different.... I treat it like a baby,
He treats his ride with no respect at all....for him its just a machine,
But he is happy..... he can buy his love the bullet now...
Which I think is a worse idea...

        Hi fellow riders,

For those from Bangalore East (near KR Puram) interested in Motul oil for their bikes/scooters, can go to Surya Automobiles near KR Puram lake. The shop is situated on the left after Indian Oil petrol station.

Just picked up 15w50 5100 for my bike for Rs 575/-

        Rate of 15w50 300v is 1150/- and 7100 15w50 is 805/-

        Google map location: Surya Automobiles

        Ride safe

So its not just that oil which caused the engine seizure.
But still smoking 1lit oil in 15-20 mins seems a bit weird.

Guys I own a pulsar 200 ns and I did its first oil change at 300 km .. recently I did 2nd servicing at 1900 kms as per the service manual .. the guys at svc told that no oil change was required as the bajaj oil (that 20w50 oil you must all be familiar with) has to be changed only at 5000 kms and only top up was required incase the oil level had dropped (which hadn't) .. so they did nothing to the oil..
So my question is does that oil really hold itself for as long as 5k kms ?
Engine still feels smooth btw !

Thats good for svc but bad for your bike.
When an engine is new (below 2 to 5 k kms) its in its run in phase.
All the internal parts are setteling down and a lot of internal wear is taking place. But this wear is usefull. Now what you should do is buy bajaj 10000 oil 20w50 from outside. Buy enough oil for 2 oil changes and buy two oil filters..(bajaj oil so it dosent void your warrenty)
Go to a local mechanic have him drain the oil and replace the oil filter at 2000km and then do it agian at 3500km then go to the sv at 5000km and let them do an oil hange and a filter change too.
Its important to change the oil filter with every oil change since its just 70rs and clears your engine oil of little metal shavings etc.
              Summing it up for you
Bajaj 20w50 oil at 2000km + oil filter change(you do it)
Bajaj 20w50 oil at 3500km + oil filter change(you do it)
Bajaj 20w50 oil at 5000km + oil filter change (svc does it)
After 7000km that throw that oil and switch to a better brand and change every 3000km (read motul 3100 gold 20w50) and then after 10, 000km or so you can move to semi synthetics and synthetics or you can stay with the motul.

Thanks for your reply.. cant I do oil plus filter change once ie at 2k kms and do the next service at 4k kms and do next oil plus filter change then? I asked this because bajaj oil costs 900 per litre and filter costs somewhere around 160 rs (since i live in nepal) !
And why does bajaj say that oil change is to be done at 10 k kms ? I think a case should be filed against them as they(being a multinational company) are saying utterly impossible thing and fooling many customers ! ??

Yes you can do that too no problems.
Thing is the oil will last thhat much.
Hell you can run your engine with vegetable oil for 10 k kms if it dosent sieze. But is it good for the engine ? No.
Do change the filter, its necessary till 5 k kms and if you change oil grade/brands too.

Any claim by respective company is done under controlled dynamics. The speed is kept constant, ambient air temperature is constant, tyre pressure is proper, no speed variations and many other parameters. So, when a company claims a certain parameter, the same has been claimed under controlled environment.

Everytime you change your oil, do change the oil filter no matter how many kilometers have you covered with that oil.

                    Cheerz!!

9 k kms without an oil change??????!!!
Did youbsee the color of the oil on the dip stick? Try checking the oil during draining:P will be a different colour then.
Also change the oil filter and abstain from such long oil hanges brother I dont want that something bad should happen to the engine.

Yea colour is bit darkened but thats natural bcoz of carbon, and exactly implies that the oil is doing its job perfectly I have checked for consistency and even from the SVC people it was perfect around 1-1.5k kms before today.. and Im sure even today they will give the same response... FS oils designed for such high end bikes usually tend to last longer on smaller engine, if engine is used frequently.
and as the consistency is fine, and i dont feel any sluggishness or load on engine, the engine isnt experiencing any harm

yes ofcourse I change filter on every oil change (though thats rare :P )

Also note fs oils hae a tendency to vaporise nd ereduce in quantity in our cliamate.
I am happy the oil is lasting you so much but I will still suggest you thatbits not worth keeping the same oil for so long

If I were you I would dump that oil every 1500 to 2k kms
Unless your a low revinng highway rider (impossible to ride low recs on a highway)
ITs summers and its hot try to source a 20w40 or 20w50 oil for summers.
