  • My P150 (w40 oil required) is due for service. What are the current market prices of these oils?
    Veedol SuperSwift.
    Motul 30004T.
    Castrol Activ4T & Power1.

Any other VFM oils (w40) in the market?

+1 wat they have is the 20w40 and not the 20w50 in the 1l packs in hyd...

You could also go for Shell ADVANCE VSX4 15W-50. But again, I am not sure of its availability in Bangalore.

Using engine oils which are meant for cars(Dry Clutch) in bikes (which have a Wet clutch) might result in a smoother engine, but u would experience clutch slippage which might lead to burnt clutch plates; as oils meant for cars have friction busters in them.

You are right. I am specifically talking about the Shell Helix and not car engine oils. Thumpers have used them for a long time without any sign of clutch slippage. I also have a friend who has used Shell Helix for 20K kms (oil change every 3000-4000 kms) on his pulsar. He doesn't have any clutch slippage or burnt clutch plates.

i searched motul site & the web,i dont see this product any where

any body has seen this ?
            update:

had gone to the motul Disti this morning got the Motul 3000 4T Plus 15W50 priced @ Rs.200. the this does not have a imported by sticker on in & does have say mineral on the can.

on enquiring more the guy said its made in india itself & is a new product, its not listed on the motul site as well.

i rule the possiblity of fake since its from the distributor, but motul out sourcing there products is something new

can somebody throw some light on this ? will post pics of the can once i get back home

                • Can anyone tell me how much the Motul 300v FL 15W50 fully synth, costs in Bangalore?
                  Where can I get it?
Is it more advisable to use on a P180UG-III rather than the Castrol power 1 racing?
I have been using power 1 racing for almost 2 bottles now. Should switch over to Motul?
How is the AGIP fully synth 5W40 oil? Is it good?
                  please comment.

How ignorant a bike owner can u be?

U need to only use a xW50 oil in ur bike. And u have been happily using a lower grade oil all the while.

Motul is 1000 times better than Castrol crap. U can get it from Cherry Agencies, near Minerva Circle.

U cant use the AGIP either. Do look at the grades b4 u try some experimentation. Don come back later that ur engine got seized.
