I would say stick to the mineral oil whatever TVS is providing for the 1st 2-3K kms., it is essential for a good run-in. After that you can choose between semi-synth&full synth according to your usage&preferences.

If you're feeling up to it, you can go back on the entire post. There are lots of information about various engine oil as well as Motul. In fact, it'll do you good to learn much about it. To put it in a nutshell. Motul is being rated as a very good engine oil. However there are several Pulsar owners who had reported leakage problem specifically with Motul 300V (Fully Synthetic). Problem is not with the oil but with the bike. So 300V may not be suitable for your bike. You can still go for the non-synthetic one.

                            • Dude, stop running and just contact the distributor/marketing dept/helpline of the company whose product you want thru their website and ask then how/where you can get their stuff. I don't know about Valvoline, but Motul, Gulf, etc are very responsive.

                              • In past we had a dedicated tread for Motul Dealers, similar thread is also available in current XBHP version too. Or else contact XBHP member "Keyur Bhagat". He can get you the contact details.

I have been using Motul V300 Factory Line 15W50 from last 40,000 kms, just used 5 cans of oil till now, yes i has been running over 10K per liter and it runs butter smooth. One liter extra was used up as topups. during 10K run.

The issue of headleaking has been no more experinced by me from last 20K. I will have next oil refil in this month. Costed 600 rs last time, have to check current price. I will go for 4L pack if available

Put Motul once and you would realize how it changes the character of bike. I didnt believed in putting 3times the cost of regular oil, but tested once and there after no looking back.
