Bought 3L for 275/- per litre. The printed price is 299/- Dont know if I paid too much but got it close to where I stay so saved time.
The pack does not state the grade (w40 / w50 etc). The website says this is 20w50

Theres some free gift with each can which I did not receive, dunno what it was..

the oils are recycled.... in car svc's they dump the oil in the collector


Used motor oils can recycled into home heating oil, re-refined into motor oil, used in making cement or even used in specially designed small space heaters.

Recycling motor oil also uses much less power to re-refined, in some cases 50-75%

There are so many benefits but none are more compelling than it a fact that used motor oil is one of the most toxic substances we can casually come into contact with.like water, natural resources etc etc......

Many service stations have dual-fuel oil burners- that is, they can burn waste oil to heat their facility in the winter.

Most oil is reprocessed- it gets run through a centerfuge, separating contaminants from the oil base. From there, additives can be added in to return the oil to it's correct properties (pour point, flash point, color, refractometry), making up for any burned-off microcomponants.

but mostly , the oil companies themselves take away used oil at a bulk price.. or in our countries , dumped into oceans or drains...

Mix half of that oil into half new oil and put the mixture in some other bike when the owner is out........

(At least Bajaj SVCs must be doing this, am sure...)...

Heard there are a number of Fake Castrol oils in the market. Is it true? Is there any way we can distinguish?

^^^Yup. Max. probability of getting fakes is when you buy Castrol. No other brand is "duplicated" to that extent. From what I'v heard, it can be very difficult to distuinguish. Have even heard about authorized dealers selling such stuff...
