Hi Madhav, I know that but Motul is currently out of stock in my place. So the only option I've is Valvoline & Castrol but I don't wanna use Castrol.Originally posted by madhav krishna View PostNo idea but AFAIK the motul brand suits the R15 very well.2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

Check the nearest yamaha SC. If not motul they should have yamalube (15W50) atleast which is a re-badged motul semi synthetic oil.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostHi Madhav, I know that but Motul is currently out of stock in my place. Whats on your bike ODO ?Originally posted by Swaroopce View PostGuys , thr is a burning smell from the engine from my pulsar 150 which comes after i stop the bike ...., Changed Engine two days back only... What could be the problem ??
what type / make / grade / quantity oil you put in ?
check out their is no oil leak or spilled around outer part engine which may cause the nasty burning smell
one thing i can tell you now is the burning smell is not a good sign it may be a problem with the core part of engine

AFAIK all the SC of yamaha should keep the yamalube oil in stock. It is mandatory by yamaha. You can mail to yamaha about this & they will try to solve your issue by seeing that the SC shall maintain the bottles of yamamlube.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostYamaha SC are using Castrol. It cost Rs120/- special exhibition price and there are no clutch slippages as its free from PTFE. Thats what they claim. Here is a link to their website:Originally posted by madhav krishna View PostHow much does it cost?? Can you please ellaborate your post.
Are there any clutch slippage issues?

Hi guys. Today I went to get oil for my Pulsar 150. I opted motul mineral oil but could not find it. Even gulf and shell vsx was out of stock..
So finally settled down with Valvoline champ 4T. But i dont know whether its a mineral or semi synthetic. It has written as Synthetic blend but costs just rs 200.. Need clarification guys..
And also the shop keeper asked me to try mobil 1000 15w40 and its doing good with all the bikes. BTW is that a 4t oil or meant for cars? Its no where written as 4t and it had indica's pic in the label. So i dint get it..

Valvoline is a good one to go.. but you would had opted for Premium , rather than champ ....

Anyway , regarding champ ,
Valvoline Champ 4T Technical Specification:
Synthetic blend,SAE 20W 40, API SL VTWSM JASO MA2
Descripton:
Now with synthetic blend. It provides Smoother Engine Performance, Smoother Gear Shift. Champ 4T is a superior engine oil meant for the toughest driving conditions. It ensures rapid oil flow through the engine, reduces friction, engine wear and clutch slippage resulting in smoother engine performance and gear shift.
Remarks:
Valvoline Champ 4T also meets Valve Train Wear performance and High Temperature Characteristics of API SM. Recommended for all 4 stroke Bikes & Scooters.
Anyway , just tell me the performance of champ ... how is it when compared to The previous oil you used ??
