My main objective is safety(Duuh), followed by sufficient ventilation, as it gets really hot and I would prefer something cooler than most stuffy helmets. I don't use earphones, not looking for NFC or such. I would prefer lower wind noise too. Another factor is at high speeds, the helmet gets pulled upwards (once it almost came off), so something which could avoid that.

As of now, I'm in favour of these:
    1. MT: What is the difference between the Axxis and the Blade? There's a 1.5k difference for no apparent reason, could anyone clarify on this?
There are several variants too, such as SV Racine, or SV Boss, etc etc, what is the difference in these? In the features list on SPG, there is no difference.

    2. Kranos: Pretty well priced, but can't really find reviews on it, has anyone used it or knows about it? How does it compare to MT?

I'm looking to avoid LS2, huge number of fakes and such. IS there any exceptional helmet by LS2 i could consider otherwise, in this price range?

Also, what about brands like SOL, KYT and such? Could anyone provide info on these?

    THANKS!
Consider the LS2 ff352 model, which is priced around 4.5k. A pretty decent one, using it from a year!
No wind noise cruising @ 120's kmph (Din't go beyond that!&#128521
You can get the original ECE certified LS2 helmet from authorised dealers in your area.

I am using this for my R3. Wind noise creeps in at 100, howls like a banshee at 120, but the lid stays in place.
It's only after 140 that vision starts blurring and the lid starts it's vertical movements.

      I guess I need an HJC...😋

Why do so many people remove thier chin curtain from thier lids? Does it make the helmet hotter to wear?

          1. MT Blade is a very good helmet for the money you're paying. The differences between blade and axis are mainly head shape, people with oval head shape would find axxis to be a better fit. Next would be the sun visor, I find blade's sun visor to be very usable. And the last difference would be that blade comes with pin lock ready visor and you get a range of pin locks to choose from.

          2. Kranos is a very VFM lid, I've used it myself. But, compared to MT blade and axxis, removal and swapping of visor is a bit difficult. Kronos also is designed for people with oval head shape, personally I find MT Blade to suit my head shape better.
Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

The more the ventilation, more the wind noise.
SOl has the best ventilation but is also heavy and screams above 80kmph.
MT too is heavy but better than SOL.
Kranos again has wind noise problem.
LS2, stay away unless you want to have a gamble with your head safety.

If you can increase your budget check out HJC CL17 models, my firend bought it for 6,5k few months back. yes being HJC its pricey with no breath deflector, high cost of visor but one thing I assure, its quiet enough for 120kmph and falls under "not so heavy lid" category

Hey brother check out this post. I just bought the Blade SV Alpha from Spartan pro gear. And posted photos.

I give it a 10/10 for the price range. It's built well enough to keep you safe. Their sizing guide is also very accurate, so follow it and don't even worry. Plus they have all the spares. Pinlock visor, iriduim and smoke visor too! I'm loving mine 😃 so far!

Being on two wheels is being liberated. The vastness one feels being under the open sky. The whole feeling. . . cant be described.

                Ride safe, Ride long.

So that they could scratch their nose just by opening the visor.lol

BTW CL 17 for 6.5k, i guess it retails for 9k in India, I got mine for 12k because I bought when it was new and I had it shipped from abroad.

                          No sir, Prat would do

Blade has internal visor over Axxis and has got more vents than Axxis and has speaker place for after market communication system. Its personal choice actually. I personally like Axxis more.
They both have same certification even

so it would wise to spend on axiss then blade..above that blade felt heavier to me n i think that is because extra padding in it?(pls answer if you know about it)....if i up my budget to 8k so it would be wise to grab a matrix...it shark rating is 5 campared to 3 of axis n blade
