The shape of the Axxis is slightly more elongated. This one fit my face shape and size much better.

Also this one comes with internal sun visor, has speaker pockets if you want to add Bluetooth connections or earphones, and also NFC (Though I'm yet to test it).

Besides, I really liked the design too.

I was expecting double D ring fasteners as reported by reviewers. But this helmet comes with micrometric fastener
Incase anyone's interested, here's my ownership experience of spg kranos hornet helmet ( tags: spg kranos hornet review spartan pro gear kranos helmet review imola future )

I will keep it short. Don't expect an expert review. My views are based on my previous experience with vega offroad and vega trojan full face helmet.

I needed a helmet between Rs.3-4k and i was confused between Vega axor, KYT RC7, THH T76, THH 41 and kranos imola future. I wanted a safe helmet that would serve me for next 3-4 years atleast. I eliminated axor, as i have no faith in build quality of vega helmets (chin strap fastener started rusting within 1 month on my old vega helmets. Graphics faded and started peeling off after 1.5 years). Eliminated KYT since i couldn't find one in local shop. I almost finalized THH as it felt more comfortable but somehow i couldn't trust this brand, moreover graphics felt overdone on these helmets. Last option was Kranos imola future, i liked it although it wasn't as comfortable as THH. I decided to go for it. Bought it from SPG website for Rs.3750 including shipping.

Safety: DOT and ECE Rated, No ISI rating. Weighs 1350-1450 grams. Shell feels solid, Visor quality is excellent when compared to my vega helmets. Doesn't feel uncomfortable even at high speeds (153kph max i did so far). No Double D ring straps. Clear visor is good for night riding, although i do miss tinted/chrome visor for day rides (available as separate accessories for 650/-). There is a bit of light refraction on the sides of the visor if a vehicle is travelling directly behind with high beams on.

          Ventilation:
It has two air vents at chin (can be opened or closed), two on top (can be opened or closed) and two at back (always open). Its not as airy as my old vega trojan which lacked any kind of air vents. I sweat a lot when i'm stationary.

Comfort: [EDIT] I realized that I bought M size 58cm helmet while my head is 60-61cm. Last time i had measured my head was around 5 years ago when i was 18. Seems like i have grown a bit I bought this helmet without measuring my head again. My ears hurt a lot after riding for 45mins. (This used to happen when my vega trojan was new) I believe after 8-10 months of use (as per my experience from vega trojan), earpads will loosen a little according to shape of my ear. As far as i know, kranos comes with two shell sizes and uses different types of padding for different head sizes. I feel shell size is a bit small considering M (58cm) size head i have. If i extend my jaw slightly forward, my chin and lips touch the face shield/jaw protector.
Breath Deflector doesn't work properly. I have experienced fogging when rode it under slight drizzle. Fogging isn't as severe as my old vega helmets. I used to open my visor slightly in my old vega helmet to prevent fogging but design of this helmet doesn't allow visor to be opened slightly. I have to see how it performs in winter.
Wind noise above 80kph is too much. Its impossible to hear anything else above 80kph. I was doing 95kph and couldn't hear a XUV honking behind. Only when it came too close, flashed its lights i noticed it. My vegas suffered from wind noises too, but they also allowed horn and engine noises inside.
Helmet doesn't cover the lower back part of head/upper neck properly. It initially felt awkward but i realized this gap helps when rider is fully tucked in. This photo will explain what i am pointing to.

          Liked:
          1. Good build quality
          2. Fits snugly, feels safer than vega
          3. Removable and washable padding

          Hated:
          1. Wind noise: Above 80kph you cannot hear anything.
          2. Ear hurts a lot after 40-45 minutes.
          3. Lack of double D ring strap. Old models of kranos came with double D rings but new one's have micrometric fastener.
          4. No user manual. Should come with Instructions for removing/installing visor and padding.

For hurting ears, you can open the cheek pads along the stitches. Inside you'll see foam in 3-4 layers (at least it was like that in my Sparx helmet). Peel off as many layers as you want as per your convenience. I removed 2/3 layers from my cheek pads. & then stitch back along the lines. & now you have a perfectly nice fitting, less hurting helmet which should put a wide grin on your face everytime u wear the helmet.[emoji106]

they are air vents for air flow and keep your head cool
One would be closed position , and other would open up the vents

I am selling off my sparx s07 helmet(pow graphics) in mint condition with one iridium and one clear visor. PM me if any one is interested for the helmet or one of the visor.
Condition-helmet and both the visors are scratchless.
Reason for selling- it was supposed to be a spare one but i never wore it and bought an hjc and MT axxis.

                          Guys,
Do check the new model of MT
                          helmet named mugello .

I purchased MT axis from moto 101 lalbhag bangalore , L size.

It feels bulky though . quality is good and I bet once you have seen the MT helmets , its very difficult to go for indian brand .

Why I said mugello , read ahead My friend went with me as he needed a good flip off helmet.

The imported ones were out of budget and indian brands quality he did not like . so we were checking the MTs again and he picked a helmet from a rack .
                          The model was Mugello .
It was nice looking and proportionate in size .

I am happy with axxis having priced 4750 and little bulky .
yes people stare at me like they saw alien . may be because I am thin .

Axxis -no pin lock, no sun visor , made in China :banghead: ,bulky , safety liner white foam like substance looks ordinary

Mugello- Rs 4100, pin lock, no sun visor, made in Spain , good size , safety liner black foam like structure looks promising (or may be made in Spain made me think that ).

I do not have much photos .
May be when I visit him , will take more if anyone need for reference .

Mugello is not flip off, its full face , locked , permanently

I'm looking for a daily use helmet and zeroed on Kranos Imola Future Viper (The Snake Design)

That's a same helmet as yours just graphic difference.

But is that wind noise issue serious ??

A XUV honking and you couldn't hear anything at just 80-85kmph is a bit problematic.

My RC390 is already loud, so I guess I'll be completely deaf. [emoji52]

Was your visor open or close that time ?

My 2.5 year old LS2 still does not do this thing even when the Paddings are now about to die completely.

I was doing 90-100kph (accelerating slowly). In slight drizzle. And i couldn't hear the Scorpio / XUV behind me. I heard it only when it came too close (under 10ft behind me)
at around 80-85kph mark. Wind noise is there but you can hear (barely audible though) if someone's behind honking.

Yes my visor was fully closed.

Try the helmet before buying. Make sure your jaw doesn't touch the chin protector of the helmet. There is very little gap (2-3mm) between my chin and helmet's chin protector

Where are you from? (Just that I could see the helmet personally)

Yea helmet fitting is the only reason I'm very much into going & buying myself.
By the way, back when I purchased my LS2, it was same in fitting.
I mean, my chin was all pressed from the chin pads, I use to get heavy head / headache's due to Mumbai sweating issue + my long hairs. But as the time passes and padding softens, everything gets sorted. [emoji111]️
