Re: Helmets
This will be commonly available at Car Accessories shops or showrooms. Mostly used for sticking chrome accessories. Try there as your requirement is not for the entire roll.Originally posted by amit_ss125 View PostHoly shit...the tape costs 5000 inr on amazon. The headset itself is for 2500. Better i check something else. [emoji15]

Finally: attached the bluetooth to my SMK.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostAs mentioned you can get that in Car accessory shop. the correct term is 3M VHB Tape. Or order helmet mount tapes directly from aliexpress, much cheaper
I used the existing 3M tape by cutting it into various bits and strips as it was a 10mm tape and have stuck the same on the helmet. Being the thickness of the tape is less as compared to original provided tape and the curvature of helmet, there is gap in between and also at few places the tape is not holding the base. But i feel it should be fine enough to hold the same firmly. Gave a curing time of 24 Hrs and seems its strong enough...Lets see.
Rode for 16 Kms to office today and no issues as of now.No Left, No Right...It's a SIMPLE BOTH HAND DRIVE

Re: Helmets
Bluetooth generally comes with a clip holder. Is it not there in this one?Originally posted by amit_ss125 View PostFinally: attached the bluetooth to my SMK.
Anyways, if you have used the 3M tape, it will keep it in place. Just keep changing the tapes once in a while.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Helmets
Hey Amit, Great Lid and awesome idea to retrofit a Bluetooth in it but, just out of curiosity, why did you buy a helmet of 4000 and spent another 5000 for the Bluetooth kit when you could have got the SMK Bluetooth Helmet with Bluetooth for 8000?Originally posted by amit_ss125 View Postwell. i do have the clip but being the helmet is new the padding is tight and when attached to clip the padding is moved a bit and the helmet becomes more tight..i hope you have understood what i mean to say. hence the tape. will try the clip once thehelmet settles downin size a bit. till then will go with this setup .
