and the SparX is lighter too... but make sure you can get replacement visors... otherwise that can become a real pain for you later on.

Could someone tell me what good are rear vents in a helmet...somehow i am not able to comprehend it. Do they really work and how???

you cannot only keep inhaling... you have to exhale too... and what about the hot air created inside the helmet? Also, if you don't show a way for the incoming air to go out your aerodynamics take a beating.

@46wannabe: I have seen this before I got the Boolean. Anyways I don't have it now-I have recently replaced it with the Studds Ninja 2G&bought the Vega high end also for touring.
Anyways, could you replace the visor the other day?

Nah dude. Like my bike, I too have been outta the motorcycling scene for a while now. Just having some crazy shifts at work. When I get home I'm all tired and its too late so my folks wont allow me to go out on the bike either. Crapy stuff man. As a result both bike and helmet are catching dust now. Don't know when I will replace the visor. First thing I need to do is get the bike serviced. Its been more than 2 months since I changed the oil.

BTW I think I saw someone with the Ninja 3G the other day. Was just a glance though, so I couldn't see much. Also, I get tempted to buy me a new SparX, heehee. They're selling at a very competitive rate.

Of course I won't buy it though.

To make this simple, pls help me choose 1 or 2.
(1) Request friend from USA for visors ( @ $23 apiece) for my HJC-AC11 helmet
(2) Buy a new helmet in india (the high quality visored ones) with the cash instead <suggestion sought>

Last night, I compared my 2006 HJC-usa and 2004 MPA-india(newer visor) helmet back to back and found that HJCs visor quality is top-notch (take my word) as though i m not using the visor .
I am wondering whether other international brands (within the reach of common man like AGV, Steelbird, bieffe around Rs2500-3000) have good quality visors on par with Arai/HJC/shark helmets. Of course, the top intl ones cost 10x more...but whether the visors are good atleast on comparable terms.

My dilemma is that the price of 2 visors for my HJC will equal the price of a new helmet like AGV/Bieffe in india. Those who ve tried arai/hjc/kbc and indian AGV etc will be able to tell the difference...

Please help me out- thanks in advance.
FYI: i m not rich and probably the reason for the above dilemma.

Go to Abids, the shop is below Evergreen helmets, the one to the left in the basement. I got my Boolean from there. I had almost bought an MPA-AGV from him, but then I saw the Vega high end. He was promising visors for the MPA/AGV though.

A flip up helmet, a BHP racing one, with a goggle inside... Very similar to Vega boolean.

Can someone find that post ... or the owner can chip in here with more details. ???

I asked him for the AGV + 2 spare Visors.
He said He don't have the stock now.
He said he'll get it in a week.
We went again after 15-20days.
But still no Stock.
So my friend took a Vega from the Shop Opposite (evergreen Opp. The Mall).
When he went to DELHI he got me 2 Visors.
But 1 of them is broken so left with a 2 month old Visor now.
It needs a replacement as soon as possible.
It's still good in nights but I can't wear my Day/Night Glasses in the night.

So any other place in HYD where I can get them??

Hmm, I haven't seen anyone else keeping MPA/AGV anywhere else in Hyderabad.

The Vega. You can't get anything better than it for less than 5K IMO. Lots of posts&pics here about it, including mine.

You can't get anything better than it for less than 5K IMO.

You can get Studds and even MPA AGV for under 3K. Yeah they are not Vega but no less than Vega.
