But even at the CBZ it was available for Rs 1699 when I checked last month. Also, this helmet seems to be like you need one size bigger than others. For most other helmets M is the size for me and this one XL was only a little loose and even Okay to an extent.

Visot is really very good - anti scratch & shatter proof - anti glare thing works real well and replacement is available for Rs 150 easily. You have very good inner lining (the older ones had removable inner lining but when I tried in a newer one I felt I might tear out something as I couldn't find out clearly if it is removable. Shell is a good fibreglass one. Very good ventilation that works, breath deflector, pretty good padding/damping.

Just liked it and it is actually the same helmet as the one in the CBZ except for graphics... still cannot believe that price. Trust me, that helmet is a real steal at Rs 1140. We all can go ahead and buy in bulk
thanks for that bro. Will need to check with them again on the pricing. And the pads are removable, the showroom guy did remove the left side padding to show me..

I thought that the one Posted by jonak is different. So is both the models same or look the same, coz i was told by the CBZ guys that this helmet is made especially for CBZ and not available outside!

Bangalore Xbpians help please! I know jc road and the road near lalbagh is a good place to get helmets, but i ve heard a lot of the shops there cheat and quote the wrong prices n stuff... So can you'll please direct me to a helmet store which is trustable..

      Thank you,

Rhino is a good bang-for-buck lid. AFAIK, Studds Rhino are available only at Castrol BZs. If heading to J.C road, avoid one store like plague . He is a slick talker. Contact gd76 for a referral discount & head to Megha.

That is what they said to me and to many others but if you read older posts in this thread I think there are two people who stated that they saw this helmet outside too.. I even have one Hyd xBhpian who saw this helmet outside CBZ.

Look carefully at the photos Jonak posted. The shape, the vents, the visor mounts look the same.. has breath deflector, even the name matches ... what more? that too is made by Studds - a company of repute. And such company's don't release similar looking products with the same name and different quality or stuff. Couldn't see the inner lining in those photos but even if that one doesn't have removable padding, it is a deal for 1/3rd less price (or 67% of the price).

But again, Make sure that the padding pressing on the lower ear is not a problem for you.If not for that, I'd have bought this helmet a few months back.

          • I mailed DSG few days back. They said Dayija Dragon is very much available at a price 5500 INR. On the other hand one of my friends is coming from US. Thinking of telling her to bring a SparX rebel for me if her hand luggage is not that heavy. Anyone here using Dayija Dragon or SparX Rebel?? What do you think which one is better?? Any idea if new Dayija stocks coming to Planet DSG??

I have bought that helmet from an authorized dealer of Studds. I went to his shop a month back also. But that time this Rhyno was not there. He said this Rhyno is a very recent release from Studds. The inner padding is removable. Very good padding and ventilation. The printed price was 12XX INR!!!

Try Balaji Helmet store, just near the Urvashi theatre exit gate near JC road.

He stocks DSG and AlpineStar safety gear too.

SparX. I am somehow not convinced to pay Rs 5500 for a Daijya. I am not able to find fault with that either. It is just that SparX seems to be a better bet for that money. No logic here. Just a thought.

I mailed Performance Racing Store before I bought my lids recently. They say the SparX S-07 is Rs.6000 plus shipping to your doorstep Rs.500. It is good VFM compared to the Marushins IMO.

Thanks a lot. I will wait for somebody to bring that for me. Don't have faith in shipping. And this SparX rebel is a complete drool stuff.

                          • Dilemma & High Quality Visors @ India?

                            Hi,
To make this simple, pls help me choose 1 or 2.
                            (1) Request friend from USA for visors ( @ $23 apiece) for my HJC-AC11 helmet
                            (2) Buy a new helmet in india (the high quality visored ones) with the cash instead <suggestion sought>

Last night, I compared my 2006 HJC-usa and 2004 MPA-india(newer visor) helmet back to back and found that HJCs visor quality is top-notch (take my word) as though i m not using the visor .
I am wondering whether other international brands (within the reach of common man like AGV, Steelbird, bieffe around Rs2500-3000) have good quality visors on par with Arai/HJC/shark helmets. Of course, the top intl ones cost 10x more...but whether the visors are good atleast on comparable terms.

My dilemma is that the price of 2 visors for my HJC will equal the price of a new helmet like AGV/Bieffe in india. Those who ve tried arai/hjc/kbc and indian AGV etc will be able to tell the difference...

Please help me out- thanks in advance.
FYI: i m not rich and probably the reason for the above dilemma.
