                • Picked a helmet a few days ago. Priced Rs.3800 at Helmet Paradise. pretty comfortable. Needs allen keys to take the visor off. The flip up action is pretty smooth and the lock mechanism seems quite secure. Picked up a spare visor as well. The helmet seems to to be of good quality and weighs 1450 gms. I was used to that weight as my older AGV also almost the weighed the same.

                  Cheers!

                  • @ abhifusion - Nice helmet there. Good to see some change from the regular LS2, Cross, Sparx, KBC chain of helmets here in xbhp. Looking forward to a review of sorts on the helmet. Could you post pics of you wearing the helmet so we could get an idea as to how big it is.

Good to see you have done your research before taking the plunge and buying a helmet. The Bombay guys will be able to help with shop details. Im sure its posted on this thread in different posts. The phobia shouldnt cost anywhere close to that much.

You put the 'Shoei' sticker? is so why? Its like putting a Ferrari sticker in a Maruti 800. Its a nice helmet. Don't spoil it.

+1...Dont change the original look of the helmet and make it look ugly by putting some stickers on it.Keep it as it is bro. Also, some newcomers here can get misguided with the name 'LS2 SHOEI',as there is no model as such.Just by putting SHOEI sticker on the lid wont make it SHOEI either.

                        • hey thanks all who helped and suggested me what lid to buy...

i finally bought the ls2 dragon white-red from Chopras Karol Bagh new delhi...

i got it for 3200 bucks...sorry but my bargaining skills are really lame and i just couldnt get him to cut down the price further...I am from chandigarh, here the same lid is for 5000 so im cool with 3200

btw i guess there are like a lot many pics already so am not gonna upload any..if required pm me ill send u some

btw, my brief review of the ls2 dragon---well i have a relatively big head :P and a bit long hair..so the xl size was good for me...i still was a little skeptic about the size cause it was a perfect fit, so i got it.....

after buyin it...i rode from Delhi- Chandigarh on my r15...about 250 kms....took a break of about 2-2.5 hours--rode again to hoshiarpur( about 140kms )--then took another break for like 4-5 hours and then travelled to jalandhar( it was 12 midnight ) about 50kms...travelled back--again about 50 kms....next day i again travlled back to chandigarh..another 140kms...

so like i covered about 630 odd kms in 2 days... the Dragon was perfect...excellent ventilation, it sends just the right amount of air inside so that you are comfortable breathing and dont sweat...--yes surprisingly enough in the hot weather--i didnt sweat...my hair was perfect-- lol....anyhow... the mercury visor does the job during the day but had to open the visor durin the twilight and night time cause i dont wanna risk it on the highway......

btw i topped at 136 kmph on the highway...whooohooo....i never dared take it above 100 with my older studds lid.....

I couldnt find the link for the Cross website on google...anyway, what is your opinion of the Vega Corah series and the Studds full face collection? Both are in my budget.

Also, it seems unsafe to use an open face helmet since it will not protect the face from frontal impact. However, this particular one:
                                Studds Accessories Ltd.
looks good. Should i go for this one or a full face at all costs?

Found the helmet sizing chart on the Vega website too. quite handy.
