Am not saying it's enough or not enough protection. But even with a high grade helmet you cannot say you are really protected. We all need to keep something in mind always. "No helmet can protect the wearer from all possible impacts. To be effective a helmet must fit your head correctly." These are not my words but it's printed on a piece of textile inside my helmet. Make no mistake of your own that tempts others to make mistakes for you. I don't mean to frighten you by any means. You must always strap your helmet in such a way that no slack is left. Try to make sure you have a good fit for your cheeks. Safety is the best style available out there.Originally posted by RohIIT View Post

These kind of helmets are not build for the daily use. They have many disadvantages, read them and tell me how much sense does it makeOriginally posted by RohIIT View PostI bought mine online frm its indian website , Its an international company , how come this low protection ??
1.the design does not inspjre confidence,it is too flimsy as compared to modular or full face helmets.
2.no protection from wind and dust.
3.wind noise is almost so annoying from speeds above 60
4.helmet wobbles once the speed increase..probably the only needed reason not to opt for this kind of helmets.
5.cheap paddding and lack of snug fit causing the helmet to move around once worn.
Cheers

Go for ls2. Yes, the Polaroid works and if at all it affects the vision, it is in the good way. Only issue is riding in the night with the visor on is not advisable.Originally posted by mathewjohn1995 View Postplease suggest a good helmet.I have a budget of Rs.2500/-.
Does the polaroid on helmets works well?
do it affects our vision?

Well, I got this helmet from Laxmi Automobiles who is an authorized dealer for LS2 helmets.
Its an LS FF358 model, its got G-Pump inside and comes with a SHARP Rating 4, it costed me Rs 3700 with an additional tinted visor.
Comfort and feel
I opted for a size smaller than last time, this is L size and has snug fit, I mean literally there is no room for my finger also. Previous LS 2 was XL and it use to move a lot when travelling over 60kmph speeds and it was unbearable. Coming to the Wolf helmet, it has the G-Pump system which works well, for me I,am okay with couple of air shots to keep it steady and fit. Yes, I do engage pump just to have the comfort feeling. This feature is good and restricts the movement of helmet even if you are doing 120kmph speed. Chin straps have added velcro to strap on the loose part. There is minute detailing given to the helmet which proves essential during its use, this is one of the added features which made me go ahead for this helmet.
Wind Wind Wind
There is wind noise, well if you compare the LS2 Phobia which I had before and this one then yes the noise has reduced but you can hear that swooshing wind noise. I have't tried any other brand helmet so cannot compare. But yes, you only need two steps to close the visor and it does cancel out maximum noise, its not like before where there were several gears in closing the visor down.
Graphics and quality
The wolf is on par with other brands, fit and finish of the helmet is excellent and exceeds my expectations. The glossy feel of the helmet shines out, I opted for black and silver type design because my black R15. The inner cheek pads are soft and comfortable, they are easily detachable for cleaning. The visor is also made of good quality. The extra one is a smoked visor which I plan to use in future when this one gets damaged. On the bike the helmet looks awesome. (would soon come up with a photo shoot over the weekend)
Price
Most of you would agree that there were other options present for the cost involved. Well, LS 2 has always been my favorite with their graphics and comfort. The Sharp rating present made my choice all the more clear and accurate. The cost involved was apt, if you go to see it costed Rs 3700 with an additional visor. I searched for the Sharp rating and ensured the model is present. Aman15 (xbhp member) helped me in knowing more about Sharp ratings, though he wasn't present during the purchase I knew the comfort and choice was perfect.
Let me know if you have any questions, would love to solve out.
Hope this small review helps.Last edited by Eshan-P180; 03-11-2013, 11:46 AM.sigpic

I always say this and I repeat it once again. OFF ROAD black plastic stuff are not helmets, they are PLASTIC BUCKETS with an added visor, at least the Vega ones, not the purpose built dirt helmets.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
