Damn. The AH helmets guys tells me that the new shipment of SOL helmets would arrive on 3rd/4th of May. It'd be a full month since I bought my bike. 600+ Kms without a helmet. I just hope I have a head when the helmet does arrive.

I hope you arent serious. You seem to know the importance of buying a good helmet & are waiting for the new SOL lids and yet you are riding around without a helmet? For your own good, I would request you to either buy another helmet and then ride or refrain from riding all together till you get your hands on a SOL helmet.

Its a wonderful helmet....i enjoyed using the same...my visors have broken and am not able to get the visor for the same. can somebody help me to find a good visor for the same

here's my helmet
purchased it for 2800 including shipping charges to my door step

overall build quality if good
and wind reduction is good till speeds of 90 after that it makes noise
and helmet is a bit heavy
the graphics are good
and the iriduim visor looks uber cool during day light
personally i started using the helmet after i got my duke , just to be responsible and safe rider
.
i have no previous experiences on any other helmet
nor used any
so this is my first helmet
and over all its good
worth for its money !

I know it's irresponsible. The problem is I have booked the SOL by paying the full amount. At the time of booking I was promised delivery on 23rd april or something.Now they say not before 4th of May. Now in hindsight I think, I should have grabbed the white-silver metalman which was available instead of booking the orange-silver. Vanity, it seems might prove to be my downfall
Btw I have tried to refrain from highway rides all these days. Haven't rode the bike to office yet precisely because of this. I am still commuting by suburban trains here. But yeah, the lure of a short errand or that aimless ride on the city roads have proved tooo difficult to avoid.
We have plans of buying a helmet for my usual pillion today. Planning to use it when riding solo, till I get my SOL.
Thanks for the advice though.I'll not to venture out too often without a lid for sure.

scratched my ls2 cartoon matte black visor yesterday. though just half a in scratch on the visor and is not coming in the view however any suggestion how to remove it coz the visor is like chrome tinted (mirror finish) and is looking odd else any place i can get the replacement visor.

Harsha, It sure looks hot. I am very fond of Monster decals to be honest hence, I am little biased towards it

I have wore HJC Dagger long time back owned by one of friends. Only thing I disliked was the movement of visor. It feels tight when you lift it up and it is not as comfortable as I expected. Having said that, it was a base model so how is it in your lid as it is for an higher range?

Also noticed in your close up pics that it looks to be Matt finished (Looks neat) and are the Monster graphics actually stickers or is it painted? Just out of curiosity

Mine too came with the silver finish visor but I changed it to a clear one. Didn't like it during night time.

I have booked my sol 68S wizard on March 10, still waiting for it.
In the April lot my lid was broken(defective), so they offered me Metal-Man series.
i wanted wizard so told them i will wait till next lot(April end), the new lot is going to come in 1 or 2 days (conformed by Sol Head India - Chennai).
hope it wont be a defective this time.

actually i havent got the chance to use any other helmet in the similar price range,so couldnt compare it with others

after using the helmet for over 3000kms i can say that i am totally in love with the helmet.few points i would like to mention about the helmet:-

-fit n finish of helmet is awesome(especially the quality of paint)
-very snug fit(this is the way i like it)
-light weight
-very very less wind-noise(tested the helmet upto 200kmph) On which bike did you test that?!? I presumed the ninja tops out at 170
-stable at high-speeds
&
-killer graphics(atleast i feel so)

yes its true ...i wanted the SOL dragon but it was out of stock.Waiting since a month !
